Hello, I plan to buy a dryer in September. I have read a lot of topics and from what dryer users write, I can choose a dryer with or without a heat pump. The dryer will stand in a cold utility room so it can give off heat. The dryer will be used 1-3 times a week. I heard that the aforementioned heat pump is more energy-efficient, but in total, if it breaks down (and most often it fails), the costs are such that energy savings will not cover it.

I saw this model: Bosch WTB86201PL (plus the sled, because it would stay on the washing machine)

I am asking dryer users for opinions and observations.

If it is to be placed in a cold room, then only with the heat pump.
An "ordinary" dryer will give off a lot of heat, and with it a lot of moisture that will condense on the cold walls, thanks to which you will grow a "beautiful" mushroom.

With a reasonably priced heat pump and with good functions, eg Bosch WTH8520EPL .

The basis is ventilation. If there is no ventilation grille in the room, it is better to buy with a heat pump if possible.

I can make a grill, or ventilation in the ceiling, only a porch and so chilled to the max in winter. The little radiator is there, but it doesn't help much. Do you have any other models worth your attention? Maybe someone has :)

In my bathroom, 17-18 degrees Celsius and mechanical ventilation, which is better condensing or with a heat pump?

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the choice between condenser and heat pump dryers, particularly in the context of using the Bosch WTB86201PL model in a cold utility room. Users emphasize the importance of heat pump dryers for such environments due to their energy efficiency and reduced moisture output, which can prevent condensation issues. Recommendations include the Bosch WTH8520EPL as a viable heat pump option. Ventilation is also highlighted as a critical factor, with suggestions for creating ventilation solutions if necessary.
