The tests are not unequivocal, but in Gostyń I would not count much with this one BTS moloch of Plus in Ardagh Glass. You can see that the new LTE900 works best on it, but it will also quickly clog like the other bands. Even the LTE2600 that Plus launched on this monster on 6 sectors. For all LTE bands recommended broadband antennas 800-2600MHz, i.e. 2x ATK-504/502 from Telkob.

You did just right. From what was emphasized, the cable is an important thing, and besides, PLN 20 is probably not that savings.

I do not know if the antenna will change a lot in this case (the signal values on the modem are good), here a modem with 3-band aggregation (2600/1800/900) and QAM256 modulation would be more effective (if it works on this transmitter, it's rare for now). Ask at https://plusforum.pl/viewforum.php?f=100 which station supports technologies.

What will that change, do you know his situation? In Gostyń, one BTS Plus (Starogostyńska 9) has been expanded to monstrous sizes, 6 FDD LTE2600 sectors and 4 LTE1800, LTE900 and LTE800 sectors, so why ask? He showed tests on these bands, aggregations and it's bad despite good signal parameters, so how is MIMO4x4 with QAM 256 to solve his problem? Despite such an expansion, the BTS is clogged. And so the parents are probably happy because they used another BTS before and there was a tragedy. After purchasing the antenna, there is still a chance to force a connection to BTS Wrocławska 178, it lies in a different direction and is about 2.5 km from the parents' location. There is also LTE2600, LTE900 Plus and LTE1800Aero2 and LTE800 Sferia on it. Maybe it will give you better speeds. Hence the purchase of the antenna is recommended.

this SINR jumps me ray 4db once 40dB, but maybe I have a restless hand. I headed for Wrocław, but it still connects to Starogostyńska.

Can I mount it like that?

The SINR varies depending on the load on the BTS. Fix the antennas permanently on the mast, set to Starogostyńska Street and check all bands in turn and aggregation. Also try with this BTS on Wrocławska. And also share the results with your colleagues without cables.

I will try to take measurements tomorrow, etc.

By the way, I noticed a new mast; (I can see it directly from the balcony without any obstacles. It was supposed to be lifted 2 weeks ago and still closed. Looking at BTSearch it is PLAY ID: GOS3004, Leszczyńska 1. Who, what some info? I will have to translate these antennas to the other side ;)

    hey,

Can I hang these antennas on the chimney next to the DVB-T antenna with LTE filter? will it be a strong disturbance?

I have a common DVB-T / LTE800-2600MHz installation mounted on one mast and they do not interact with each other (Televes / Corab).

FAQ

TL;DR: With 6 LTE2600 sectors live on Plus’s Starogostyńska site, "the BTS is clogged"; use 800–2600 MHz dual‑MIMO to aim an alternative BTS. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17370331]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps Huawei B525 owners pick and install the right LTE antennas to stabilize speeds on congested cells in and around Gostyń.

Quick Facts

What’s the best external antenna for a Huawei B525 on LTE 1800–2600 MHz?

Use a dual‑MIMO, broadband 800–2600 MHz set so you also cover LTE800/900. Telkob’s 2× ATK‑504/502 pairs suit this profile. Broadband keeps flexibility to aggregate or switch bands as cells change. Narrow options limit you if coverage shifts. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17369465]

Will the Cybertech 17 dBi 1800–2600 work, or should I go broadband?

It can work on 1800/2100/2600. If you need LTE800/900 now or later, pick 800–2600 MHz broadband instead. That keeps you covered across all operator bands and future network tweaks. Experts recommended broadband in this scenario. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17369465]

Which connectors and cable does the B525 need?

The B525 has two SMA female ports. Choose a dual‑MIMO antenna kit that includes SMA‑terminated leads. Telkob’s recommended set ships with 5 m cables and SMA connectors, matching the router directly. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17369654]

Is saving 20 PLN on a cheaper WC55 cable worth it?

No. Use the better, lower‑loss cable to protect signal and throughput. As one user put it, “the cable is an important thing.” Those few zlotys can avoid avoidable dB loss across both feeds. [Elektroda, Jeziorko, post #17369961]

How should I aim the antennas and pick the right BTS in Gostyń?

Mount on a mast. First aim at Starogostyńska 9 and test each LTE band and CA. Also try Wrocławska 178, about 2.5 km away. The expanded Starogostyńska site is congested despite 6 LTE2600 sectors, so the alternate cell may be faster.
  1. Fix antennas, set toward Starogostyńska.
  2. Test bands and aggregations.
  3. Re‑aim to Wrocławska and compare. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17370331]

Why does my SINR jump while aiming the antenna?

SINR varies with BTS load, and hand‑holding adds instability. Fix the antennas permanently on the mast, then test bands and aggregations. Stable mounting improves repeatability of RSRP/RSRQ/SINR and speed tests. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17382070]

Can I mount LTE MIMO antennas next to my DVB‑T aerial on the chimney?

Yes. Users report combined DVB‑T and LTE 800–2600 MHz on a single mast without mutual interference. Keep sensible spacing and secure mounts. That layout simplifies cabling and rooftop work. [Elektroda, jarek7714, post #17428402]

Will a 3‑band CA modem with QAM256 help more than antennas here?

Only if the BTS supports it and isn’t saturated. In Gostyń, “the BTS is clogged” even after upgrades. External antennas can help you attach to a less loaded BTS instead, which is the recommended path here. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17370331]

Is Play’s new mast on Leszczyńska 1 offering LTE yet?

Not at the time of testing. It carried GSM/UMTS with LTE planned later. Play sessions on the B525 attached to Starogostyńska instead. Wait for LTE activation on Leszczyńska before re‑aiming. [Elektroda, DVD84, post #17383105]

How do I test bands and carrier aggregation after mounting?

Follow a simple cycle to get clean comparisons.
  1. Fix antennas on the mast.
  2. Point to the target BTS and check each LTE band and aggregations in turn.
  3. Log RSRP/RSRQ/SINR and speed for each setup and repeat if trying another BTS direction. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17382070]

Does SINR depend on time of day and BTS load?

Yes. The advisor explained SINR varies with the BTS load. Expect better SINR at lighter network times, and worse at peaks. This affects speed even with good RSRP. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17382070]

What is BTS ID 12109 showing in my B525 logs around Gostyń?

It corresponds to Play activity around Starogostyńska during tests. The Leszczyńska 1 mast lacked LTE then, so LTE sessions attached elsewhere. Confirm after Leszczyńska LTE launch. [Elektroda, DVD84, post #17383105]

Can an external antenna really improve Plus speeds on Starogostyńska?

Not if you stay on that cell under load. It’s overloaded despite 6 LTE2600 sectors. Use antennas to steer to Wrocławska 178 or another cell with lighter traffic. That is the practical improvement path. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17370331]

Should I baseline with no external cables before finalizing?

Yes. Capture results using the router’s internal antennas first. Then mount the external set and re‑test bands and aggregations. Share both sets of results for diagnosis. [Elektroda, matek451, post #17382070]
