What is Lolin new NodeMcu V3 with ESP8266 and what can it be used for?

Generally quite a lot, it's the kind of chip programmed in lua or arduino with the possibility of communication over wifi. And the whole board is just a stabiliser, uart on usb and pins out of the chip.

You can do everything on it that you can do on any other uC at this price. Ask yourself better what you need .
PS. if you think that searching hurts - then sell it, because the chip requires programming skills, or find yourself a ready made one for your application
