    Hello.
    I have the following problem:
I want to connect cameras from hikvision DS-2CD1741FWD-IZ to the BCS-P-SNVR0401 recorder.
Everything is clear on paper and in theory - compatible parameters in the network, requirements of the recorder and cameras are compatible, cable connections have been checked.
The recorder detects cameras, but the preview says "NO LINK".
For comparison, cameras of the same brand as the recorder work flawlessly.
I am asking for advice on the subject.

I understand that from a computer, for example, through a browser, it is possible to enter this camera? Probably both devices compatible with ONFIV and a colleague chose this interface?

Unless I am mistaken, the BCS-P-SNVR0401 recorder supports ONVIF 2.4
As for the DS-2CD1741FWD-IZ camera, you can check which ONVIF version supports the ONVIF Device Manager program, log in as admin admin
In the first upper Identification tab you have information about ONVIF version

version 2.40 and 2.04 is not the same.
Alternatively, if you have not already done it, you can update the camera and recorder firmware firmware, if it does something. Anyway, sometimes they just don't want different branded equipment to cooperate with each other.

Unfortunately, thanks to the ONVIF manager program, I am not able to check the protocol version in the camera. The program sees the hardware but is unable to spit out a response (Error).
The firmware update for the recorder is available on the manufacturer's website, but after all possible actions (including renaming the .bin file, the recorder spits out "wrong filename".

This is a Point series recorder and here we do not change the file name, but upload it as it was downloaded from the ftp server.
Please check if possible pick up onvif versions in camera.

Both files from D19 and D20 directories do not update the recorder in the original (program.bin) or after changing the name (update.bin).

Please provide the software version that is in the recorder

In the hik camera, if the software is above version 5.5.5, you have to manually enable onvif, because it is disabled in this version of the software from the start. The next thing is the recorder software. I have a lot of installations where hik cameras work with BCS recorders and it flies without problems.

I rarely mount hika cameras, but from what I remember, when there were problems with onvif, I added an additional account on the webcam (the admin did not want to move) and added the camera on the rtsp port.

Check on the camera if onvif is turned on, and rtsp. I'm worried why you can't login and was the camera activated ??? Maybe a stimulant and ports changed. You have to force yourself to login to the camera.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the issue of connecting Hikvision DS-2CD1741FWD-IZ IP cameras to a BCS-P-SNVR0401 recorder, where the recorder detects the cameras but displays a "NO LINK" message. Participants suggest checking the ONVIF compatibility, as the BCS-P-SNVR0401 supports ONVIF 2.4, while the camera's ONVIF version needs verification. Firmware updates for both devices are recommended, with emphasis on ensuring the camera's ONVIF feature is enabled, especially if the firmware is above version 5.5.5. Additional troubleshooting steps include checking RTSP settings, ensuring the camera is activated, and possibly creating a new user account for the camera.
