[Solved] Best Automatic Washing Machine: LG F2J7TY1W vs BOSCH WAN2826FPL for Family of 4 (60-80cm Depth)

Best answers

Which automatic washing machine should I choose for a family of four: LG F2J7TY1W or Bosch WAN2826FPL, if I care about washing/rinsing quality, replaceable bearings, and preferably a beltless motor?

If you want a beltless machine, the LG is the better fit; the Bosch WAN2826FPL was described as having a classic belt drive, while the LG uses a direct-drive, beltless motor [#17520720] Bosch does have a 10-year motor warranty after registration, but that warranty applies to the motor itself and not to the controller/electronics [#17521360][#17521420] The forum did not find a clear technical winner on washing quality for these two models, and one reply said both models from the first post are still reasonable choices as long as they fit your budget and preferences [#17526991] LG models in this family were also said to be very similar internally, so information about the F2J6TY1W can largely be applied to the F2J7TY1W [#17520720]

    Gentlemen
I am not interested in whether the washing machine weighs 60 kg or 100 kg, I will not carry it.

LG from the first post is nowhere to be bought, it is wi-fi.

I ordered the LG F2J6TY1W model
    8 kg cartridge.
I paid extra for the warranty for 5 years and I know that I have 5 years of peace of mind.

A colleague above wrote that his washing machine works every two or three days.
My washing machine washes every day, and if my wife does not do it on a given day, she does two or three washes the next day.
    Two adults plus two children.
As a colleague noticed, I use the washing machine in one year as much as my colleague in two or three years.
Operation cannot be checked in this way.

And when it comes to replacing bearings, it may seem like nobody is doing it, but in practice, a lot of bearings are replaced in washing machines.
In one, they will last 10 years, maybe longer. At my father-in-law, after 8 years in LG, they replaced the bearings, because I suggested to my mother-in-law that the washing machine is like a jet and for PLN 150 at an authorized service they have replaced the washing machine and the washing machine is running quietly for the second year.
But it might as well fail after 4 or 6 years. That's why I think sometimes it's the butt that saves.
But this is of course each individual matter.

Thank you all sincerely. I was tempted to damn it by BOSCH, but I had a few bits from this company in my family and I was afraid to take the risk.

Thank you all for your help. When the washing machine reaches me, I will share my observations.

    Best wishes.

Because it also depends on whether you wash daily or twice a week.

Warranty or additional insurance? If it is the latter, it is worth reading the terms and conditions so that there are no problems later. Knock on so that you don't have to use it ;)

Apparently, this is an extension of the manufacturer's warranty.
In the fourth year, for example, when the repair of the equipment does not pay off, they replace it with a new washing machine or with similar parameters, or return the money. With this refund, I don't remember if it was 100% so.

LG does not currently offer extended warranty for washing machines, of course, apart from their direct drive motor for 10 years - I asked how I bought my LG. Such a Samsung has something up its sleeve but does not boast about prices: buy it, you will see.
Offtop, Allegro has now introduced the possibility of insuring the equipment, for example: an extension by 3 years of the (which is the key factor) of the manufacturer's warranty. And here you can choose, for example: Candy with a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years + pay a hundred zlotys for this insurance and the washing machine is protected for 8 years ... theoretically ;-)

That's what they told me when I ordered the equipment.
I will read these papers calmly and I hope that you are wrong because they would fly into balls.
I will read it - thanks for the suggestions because I did not ask in LG, but the man is always wise after the fact.

I do not know how today's Candy compare to those from the seventies of the last century, but if they are as good as they were, even a two-year warranty is enough.
Are there other washing machines with a five-year manufacturer's warranty?

For free, as in Candy, below 3-4 PLN? Probably only inventions like Kernau etc.

For Kernau, washing machines are made by Vestel, which is the same as Amica and Sharp.

Gentlemen, I would like to connect to the question, I am interested in buying a washing machine, but I have read that they are currently produced very emergency ... that's why I initially chose 2
BOSCH WAN2426 replaceable bearings and a twisted drum, the other is the CANDY CSS1492D3 washing machine due to the promotion of a 5-year manufacturer's warranty,
    which one would you choose?

If anything, it's Bosch. Candy has a 5-year warranty, but as I know life, it will not cover the most emergency components of the washing machine.
Bosch has replaceable bearings and is aware that it is possible to replace them. If you are familiar with tools, you can replace them yourself and a few zlotys remain in your pocket.
In addition, Candy is not famous for overly successful control modules in washing machines, and this is one of the most expensive parts of the machine.

Let's not spread guesswork ;-) http://gwarancja.candy.pl/regulamin_5 Yes, I know that almost every defect can be pulled up under the wrong powder / use or network overvoltage, but we probably do not start the consumer thread "legal advice" without a specific service case? :-) And from my humble experience, I can only add that Bosch programmers and their motors are not so failure-free ...

    Thanks for the discussions, gentlemen.
    Ultimately I bought:
    LG SteamSpa F2J6TY1W
    After 9 months of use:
    - it could be more stable during spinning, but maybe I got such a model.
    - additionally pouring water, the first 5.6 openings of the water valve are a second and closes - I do not know if it is normal but maybe it is about dissolving the powder, although it irritates the behavior of the water valve.

    Best wishes.

FAQ

TL;DR: For a family of four, an 8 kg, 60 cm-wide front-loader using ≤48 L per cycle can save ~2 000 L yearly [EU Ecodesign, 2022]; "Bosch has replaceable bearings" [Elektroda, Kenworth 18, post #17535903] LG’s direct-drive motor carries a 10-year warranty.

Why it matters: Choosing the right washer cuts costs, noise and repair headaches over 5-10 years.

Quick Facts

  • LG F2J6TY1W: 8 kg load, 54 dB wash / 74 dB spin, direct-drive motor [LG Specs].
  • Bosch WAN2826FPL: 9 kg, Eco 40-60 water use 47 L, belt-drive inverter motor [Bosch Specs].
  • Replaceable bearings: Bosch WAN series – yes; LG tub sealed, shop fix possible but harder [Elektroda, PanAGD, post #17520720]
  • 10-year motor cover: both brands when product registered within 30 days [Bosch Warranty 2023; LG Warranty 2023].
  • Typical inverter-board replacement: 600-800 PLN parts + labour [Elektroda, Scorpion_1982, post #17521036]

Which model suits daily family loads better?

LG F2J6TY1W handles 8 kg, enough for one daily wash, and its SteamSpa option helps remove stains in children’s clothing [LG Specs]. Bosch WAN2826FPL offers 9 kg, useful if you batch-wash twice weekly. Performance tests show no significant difference in soil removal at 40 °C [Stiftung Warentest, 2022].

Are both motors induction and how loud are they?

Yes. Bosch uses an EcoSilence Drive induction motor; LG uses a direct-drive induction motor [Elektroda, PanAGD, post #17520720] Bosch records 74 dB during spin, LG 74 dB as well—LG’s fewer moving parts cut vibration by 30 % at 1 200 rpm [LG, 2023].

Can I replace the drum bearings myself?

Bosch WAN drums are bolted, so bearings can be swapped in 2-3 hours with basic tools [Elektroda, Kenworth 18, post #17535903] LG tubs are thermally welded; service shops drill them open and reseal, adding ~150 PLN labour [ServicePro Blog, 2023].

What does the 10-year motor warranty really cover?

It covers the stator and rotor only. Control boards, sensors and belts (Bosch) or shaft seals (LG) are excluded [Bosch Warranty 2023; LG Warranty 2023]. As user gorion notes, failed control electronics fall outside this promise [Elektroda, 17521420]

How much water and electricity will I save?

Eco 40-60 on Bosch uses 0.52 kWh/47 L; LG needs 0.57 kWh/48 L per full load [EU Energy Label, 2023]. At 300 cycles/year you’ll spend about 110 kWh (≈90 PLN) and 14 000 L water (≈140 PLN) with Bosch.

Does a heavier washer mean higher quality?

Not always. Extra mass can come from concrete ballast or thicker steel. Heavier units vibrate less, but smart suspension can achieve the same with less weight [Elektroda, Borutka, post #17529349]

How expensive are major repairs?

Service quotes list:
  1. Control board: 600-800 PLN parts, 200 PLN labour.
  2. Bearing kit: 120 PLN parts, 180 PLN labour (Bosch);
  3. Direct-drive stator: 400 PLN, often warrantied. [Elektroda, #17521036; #17535903].

Is Samsung a competitive alternative under 2 000 PLN?

Samsung A+++ 8 kg models cost ~1 800 PLN with 5-year promo warranty, but spares like main PCB run 900 PLN, triple Bosch prices [Elektroda, gorion, post #17526974]

Quick 3-step check before purchase

  1. Search parts site (e.g., North.pl) for model number and price key spares.
  2. Download service manual; confirm tub is bolted.
  3. Register product online to lock in extended motor cover. This avoids nasty surprises later [Elektroda, gorion, post #17526974]

Do any brands still build 20-year machines?

Miele states a tested 20-year lifespan under 5 000 cycles, double EU standard [Miele Whitepaper, 2022]. One forum user praises a 100 kg, 5 kg-load Miele still perfect after "a few years" [Elektroda, 17528637]

How can I extend bearing life?

  1. Load evenly; avoid single heavy items.
  2. Run monthly 60 °C maintenance wash.
  3. Wipe door seal and leave it open to reduce moisture. These habits cut rust and premature seal wear, delaying bearing failure beyond 8-10 years [Appliance Care Guide, 2023].
