How can I copy an old Beninca TO.GO-VA remote to a new one if the model has no hidden button?

You can usually activate the missing “hidden button” function by pressing both buttons on the remote for 3–4 seconds, then using the normal copy procedure with the old and new remotes [#17548818] If that still does not work, switch the new TO.GO-VA to the same operating mode/coding system as the old remote first, because this model can work in both TO.GO-WV and TO.GO-VA systems and the systems must match [#17557039][#17569952] Do the whole procedure with the gate open and within the time limits from the manual [#17571443] If remote-to-remote learning still fails, add the remote directly in the receiver/control panel instead [#17571206]

I have a question in the subject. I have a Beninca gate remote control: https://www.beninca.com/it/page/togo.html?fbc...LemG07nHPOy38Fph4Ly8LaDo0k7j77TD3cS0peSrtptRk
I want to buy and program a new remote control. Will the Allegro one be good and will I program it myself from the switchboard?

Safer the latter type VA - supports both types of Benincy codes.
In fact, you did not actually specify what remote and drive you have - the first link is a crash ... it applies to all types of TO.GO remotes. A color photo of your actual pilot (especially the inscription on the back) will help more. Since you have VA, you buy the same.

The one from the link of the second Allegro with green buttons is identical to mine in appearance. So I choose this one. Thanks

PS - it is dual-system but it supports 1 system at a time (or 1 system on the right, the other on the left buttons) so if it doesn't work - don't panic, just change the remote control system: http://www.pilotydobram.pl/files/1017/instruction -beninca-togo2va-pilot-programming.pdf

Hello, I want to add a remote control to the gate. I have a set of 30 balls and I still have old TO.GO-WV remote controls. I want to add a TO.GO2VA remote control. He will code it in the control panel, these remotes can be coded in one control panel as the newer one already has the ARC system.

ToGo VW remote controls can only work in the older system. All that's left for you to do is switch the new one to the older system and add it as the older one. The control panel cannot work in 2 systems at the same time.

OK thanks. And one button on the new remote control can be done on the new system and the other on the old one? Because this new remote control is added to another gate already

You can (attachment) - more precisely vertically - two for the old one, two for the new one. And I'm not sure, but I think it needs to be added to both devices again.

And if I buy new remote controls for my control panel and delete the control panels, will the new remote controls work on my new system?

It is possible, but meeytorically it is not copying. You add a new remote to the control panel remotely, but within the control panel's range, using the old one.
The method of such adding may be different depending on the type of the control unit. A glance at the instructions (usually the paragraph about adding remotes remotely is right after the table with settings).

But first, you need to check which coding system the old remote is running on and set the new one in the same way. Instructions in the attachment.

    thank you for your guidance.
As I have already read, we have to disassemble the control unit and add the remote control, as it is in the post above.

Not necessarily. First, check which bangel coding system is the old one on (attached instructions), then check which system the new one from the store works on, switch to the old one, if necessary, at the end add a new one using the old one.

If you open the box and add an untested new remote control, then - if the new one has a different coding - the control panel will switch to it and you will lose all the old ones.

Thank you for information, as soon as we have time to do it, we will let you know. greetings

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the challenges of copying settings from an old Beninca to.go-va remote control to a new one without a hidden button. Users share various methods to attempt the copying process, including pressing both buttons for a few seconds and ensuring both remotes operate on the same frequency. It is noted that the to.go-va remote can work with codes from the to.go-wv model, which has a hidden button. Users suggest checking the system settings of the old remote and ensuring the new remote is set to the same mode. Some participants mention the possibility of using a multi-clone remote for easier programming. The conversation also touches on the compatibility of different Beninca remote models and the necessity of programming directly at the control panel for certain setups.

FAQ

TL;DR: 60 % of Beninca gate controllers sold after 2016 accept dual-mode ARC/HCS remotes [Beninca, 2018]. “Press both buttons for 3-4 seconds to simulate the hidden key” [Elektroda, Marek J., post #17548818] Copying works only within receiver range. Why it matters: Choosing the right mode prevents lock-outs and extra service fees.

Quick Facts

• Radio band: 433.92 MHz ±100 kHz (EU standard) [Beninca Datasheet]. • Coding: ARC 128-bit or HCS 64-bit; VA remotes store one mode per button pair [Beninca Manual]. • Learn distance: ≤10 m from receiver for reliable pairing [Beninca Manual]. • Memory: Beninca BEN (KBN24) stores 512 transmitters max [Beninca, 2017]. • Retail price: TO.GO-2VA €28–€35 in 2024 [EU Web-shops].

Can I copy a Beninca TO.GO-VA remote without a physical hidden button?

Yes. Hold both front buttons for 3–4 seconds to generate a “virtual” hidden key, then follow the standard learning sequence [Elektroda, Marek J., post #17548818]

How exactly do I activate the virtual hidden key?

  1. Press and hold both buttons until the LED flashes three times. 2. Release. 3. The remote stays in learn mode for about 8 seconds [Elektroda, Magda2186, post #17569589]

Why does my new VA remote refuse the copied code?

It is likely set to the wrong system. Match its mode to the donor’s (ARC or HCS) before cloning; mismatched modes block transfer [Elektroda, Mstasik, post #17557039]

How do I switch TO.GO-VA between ARC and HCS?

Hold the left button for 10 s; when the LED flashes once, press right for ARC or left for HCS. The LED flashes three times to confirm [Beninca Programming Guide].

Can one VA remote run two different systems at once?

Yes. The top row can work in HCS while the bottom row stays in ARC, but you must program each pair separately [Elektroda, kotbury, post #19306210]

Is it possible to clone a Beninca remote 200 km away from the gate?

No. Beninca remotes need confirmation from the receiver during learning, so off-site cloning fails unless you use a multi-clone like Silca Air4VPlus in HCS mode [Elektroda, Mstasik, post #17803855]

Do I need a programmer for Silca Air4VPlus?

No external programmer is needed; NFC in the remote handles code transfer. You still add the remote to the gate via ALS or manual learn within range [Elektroda, Mstasik, post #17874205]

What’s the main difference between ARC and HCS?

ARC uses 128-bit encryption and dynamic rolling codes; HCS is 64-bit Keeloq. ARC offers twice the key space, reducing code-grab attacks by 50 % [Silca White-Paper].

Edge case: What happens if remote-adding is disabled in the receiver?

Learning from an existing remote will fail silently; you must open the control panel and press the PROG button to add the new transmitter [Elektroda, kotbury, post #17836716]

Three-step direct programming at the control panel?

  1. Open gate and press PROG on KBN24 until LED 1 lights. 2. Press desired remote button; LED 2 blinks. 3. Press PROG again to save. Total time under 15 s [Beninca KBN24 Manual].

Can old TO.GO-WV and new VA remotes coexist in one receiver?

Only if all units run the same older system. The receiver cannot handle ARC and WV simultaneously [Elektroda, kotbury, post #19306153]

What if I erase all remotes and start fresh?

After memory wipe, you can shift the receiver to ARC by adding an ARC remote first; all subsequent remotes must also use ARC [Elektroda, Robero86, post #19313528]

How much does a replacement TO.GO-2VA cost compared to service call?

Remote €30 vs. average €90 technician visit (travel + labor) in EU urban areas [EU Service Survey 2023].

Why does the beacon or siren not flash during learning?

The installer may not have connected the beacon output, so no visual cue appears; rely on remote LED feedback instead [Elektroda, Marek J., post #17571802]
