    Hello,

One of the radiators does not heat up in my apartment. They have all been vented and the valves are opened.
I assume the return valve is closed or blocked. I am asking for advice on how to unscrew it or what I can try to do.

The inner screw is unscrewed to the point of no water leakage, with further loosening, water begins to flow out.

Should I unscrew it completely to turn it further with the Allen key?

If it is a stone, it is only demolition. Maybe it's clogged up with other rust type muck. It can be otherwise. Open the flow to MAX. and tap it gently with a hammer. It helps more than once and you do not need to remove the valve. :|

This is the "first" season for this radiator. I picked up the apartment in March and it's only now coming out.

However, unscrewing the valve only consists in unscrewing this screw? Is it another activity?

Maybe I have to do something with this square brass piece?

It turns out that the screw is the vent, and the square is the closing of the valve. Or I am wrong and this screw was used to attach the knob to this square. Try to unscrew this square a bit and the valve will recreate. I do not hope so. I also have bottom valves on the radiators in the building, but a bit different for the hexagon. After unscrewing them, water flows. :|

I also have an air vent on the top of the radiator. I can't grab this square, I tried it with a socket wrench, but it has a strange dimension of ~ 5.5 mm. It is impossible to twist it with pliers, although it is actually slightly movable. I can move it ~ 5 degrees left to right. I still have resistance.

And try to pull back first and then twist. like the radiators with the upper valve ?? Danfoss does.

In fact, it looks like an ordinary valve set up in order to breakdown or better vent the radiators. After closing the upper and lower valves, you can remove the radiator with the stove working, and the rest heats up. :|

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting a blocked radiator return valve in an apartment. The user reports that one radiator is not heating despite venting and opening the valves. Suggestions include tapping the valve gently with a hammer to dislodge any blockages, and clarifying that the inner screw is likely the vent while a square brass piece is the valve closure. The user is advised to attempt unscrewing the square piece to restore flow. Additional tips include pulling back before twisting the valve and references to similar topics for further guidance.
