hey, I bought a lenovo legion laptop, I wanted to connect a DELL monitor to it and it shows information on the ENTERING POWER SAVE MODE monitor.

Lenovo windows 10 laptop (HDMI output) + DELL Monitor (DispalyPort output)

DELL P1913S monitor - on the monitor I set the output to read from dispalyport

I guess something in the configuration,

when I enter the screen settings, I cannot see the screen, I click detect, there is information that it has not been detected.

please give me some tips :) )

What is a connected laptop and monitor? If it is the cable itself, it works only in one direction, i.e. it has an input from the Display port and the output is HDMI, it will work properly if we connect the HDMI output with a Display Port converter like the one in the link.

This cable, as I wrote, only works the other way round, it is the Display port to HDMI cable. Please buy the adapter as provided in the link, otherwise it will not work. In the photo, it clearly says that it works as I wrote from Display port to HDMI.

I understand that for this adapter I will need a dispaly port -> display port cable?

    Added after 8 [minutes]:

because from the adapter I will put the hdmi end to the laptop, and to the adapter on the other side I will insert the dispaly port and the same cable to the display port, I understand?

Yes, you will need a Display port cable and the adapter has a USB plug, which you also need to connect to provide 5 V DC to 1 A.

Due to the fact that only in the last post the laptop model was given according to its specification, it appears that there is one more possibility of connecting it to the monitor with a mini Display Port / Display Port cable.

You can connect an additional monitor otherwise there would be no HDMI and Display Port sockets.
