I am looking for some kind of ready-made (almost ready-made) for the ESP8266 so that using a VCOM or similar program I can see the UART of the ESP8266. One use will be to be able to upload a new program to an ArduinoMega that is far from the computer (different room). It also needs a similar solution for Linux (RPi 3B+).
Can you recommend any proven solution?

Mr @o_Tadeusz , you don't have to compile anything, download the binary from the link in the "Releases & Downloads" section, there is a manual about the tools, upload it to the ESP, connect to the phone, set the network parameters, possibly switch to station and use it. Configuration is via a web panel.
