    Aha...
So even electrode users don't understand the principle of "locally", i.e. with personal collection, payment in hand (cash, phone blix, quick transfer), not shipping to the other end of the country.

Some people don't understand that the name Locally does not enforce the above and it is only the name.
I with Allegro Locally bought many times from the other end of Poland and even I created a waybill. Shipments of more than 20 kg. It was without a problem.

Well, OK, let it be done....
Just don't let anyone cry on the forum afterwards:
    - "I was cheated on Allegro, OLX, Vinted.... help, how to get the money back, where to report it! Olaboga, jesusmaria, husband/wife will kill me.... so much money.... !!!"
    etc., etc.

    Greetings

This is how it used to be. Today, e.g. on OLX Buyer Protection works perfectly, you report that you have a problem and your money goes back to your account, because the seller gets a transfer only after the buyer confirms that the item is OK. Unless, of course, you are a woodpecker and can be tricked into using WhatApps or Blik, but such surprises do not happen to those who have a bit of brains.
If you want to pick up the item in person, you should sell it if you live in a metropolitan area such as Silesia, Warsaw or the Tricity or, possibly, in larger provincial cities. The vast majority want to go to a parcel machine at their Biedronka in Pierdziszewo Wielkie.

Of course, yes, as much as possible.
However, this package is additionally charged, i.e. for a used item listed for 50PLN you need to buy "Buyer Protection" for 6PLN, plus delivery for 7, 10 or 16PLN (depends on the seller - with what he sends).
I can calculate and for me such an "offer" is not an offer - it is an offer for the lazy.

    Greetings

It's hard to get shipping cheaper yourself. Especially with Inpost where the price of a small parcel starts at 16.49 zloty (unless you fit into the letter format). So, paradoxically, it is better to let it go with the OLX commission and have mutual protection (also in case of unclaimed parcels) than to have to deal with it yourself

I buy things that most people don't know what they are.
There are also things I don't know what to call myself in Polish, such as 'optical flat'.
Scammers don't put out such niche offers so I feel reasonably safe.
I often search indirectly by typing in google search "something I need + allegro local".
Image search is only for phones and additionally with their app and I do not want to apply.
Image search indirectly is time-consuming and will not necessarily produce the desired results.
On Aliexpress and on Alibaba I can search by image directly and I am happy to use this.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion centers on the introduction of "Allegro Lokalnie," a new, separate platform by Allegro aimed at private sellers, distinct from the main Allegro site which is increasingly focused on business accounts. Users report significant usability issues with Allegro Lokalnie, including limited photo uploads (maximum five), a restricted and basic description editor, lack of delivery price list integration, and absence of features like "show similar" items. The platform enforces a flat 10% commission on sales, which many consider excessive, especially for private sellers accustomed to lower fees. Allegro Lokalnie does not support integration with the old Allegro system, causing confusion and management difficulties for sellers. The new system restricts auction formats, limiting options to "Buy Now" or bidding, but with constraints that complicate auction management and re-listing. Users express frustration over the loss of traditional auction features, reduced protections, and the forced separation of private and business sellers, which some interpret as Allegro's strategy to phase out private sellers due to higher dispute management costs and legal complexities. The community discusses alternatives such as eBay.pl and Sprzedajemy.pl, though these are seen as less convenient or less developed in the Polish market. There is also mention of Allegro's ownership by investment funds (Cinven, Permira, Mid Europa Partners) and its transformation from a user-driven auction site to a commercial marketplace resembling a department store. Concerns include the removal of cheap shipping options like InPost parcel lockers, increased commissions, and the overall decline in user experience. The discussion highlights a broader trend of e-commerce consolidation, regulatory impacts, and the challenges faced by individual sellers in adapting to platform changes.
