Hello.
I have a question, but I will describe the case beforehand.
I have a 10kW connection (3 phases) connected to my home and it fully meets my needs. In my box with the meter, in the lower part to which I have no access, I have 3 40A fuses installed (a man from PGE who once rummaged in the box told me about it), and in the upper part of the box (to which I have access) - I have in front of the meter one more fuse (3-phase) - this is some PGE residue - I did not do it - I found such a situation. This fuse at the meter, which I have access to, was up to 16A, but for some reason (I don't know it yet) I have devices at home (probably air conditioners, maybe a refrigerator) that have a large inrush current and this 16A fuse popped out when the power came back in the network after a temporary loss. I changed it to 32A and now it is OK (the more that the next fuse is 40A).
Recently, I installed photovoltaic panels and you came from PGE to replace the meter with a bi-directional one. From the momentum, he replaced my fuses (in the part of the box to which I have no access) to 16A. When I informed him that I would have to call the emergency services every day because I would be knocking them out, he conditionally returned to the 40A fuses and told me that I had to apply to PGE to change the connection power to one that allows 40A fuses to be installed. He showed me a table (and this is something I don't understand) that the maximum current is assigned to the connection capacity and thus the fuse value. It looks like this: power 7-10kW current 16A, 11-13kW current 20A, 14-16kW current 25A, 17-21kW 32A, 22-25kW current 40A, etc. A strange situation arises: to protect yourself against high inrush current (we are talking about the consumption at the level of 16-30A and the duration probably less than one second), I have to change the connection capacity by four groups (and of course pay for it - I do not know how much), despite the fact that the current connection capacity of 10kW completely meets my needs. What to do in this situation?
