How can I force a specific LTE band on a Huawei B535-232 router?

You generally need a companion app, not the router’s standard web UI, to force bands on the B535-232. For Windows, use LTE H-Monitor or LTEInspecteur; for Android, Huawei Manager is also mentioned as working. Log in to the router at 192.168.8.1 with the same admin password you use in the browser, then select the desired LTE band or two bands for aggregation in the radio/configuration section [#18548116][#18756256] LTEWatchH and Huawei Monitor were described as outdated and not working properly with B535-232 units using WebUI 10x [#18757663]

For B535 band management and signal diagnostics, use Windows https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1K1-S4ygFsS9GNdXmcEy4dQ9smsP8ksL4 or https://www.lte-anbieter.info/ltewatch/count_huawei.php?Datei= ltewatch_h on Android http://www.mediafire.com/file/79obbe81eufdt7t/Huawei_Manager_1.2_PL.apk/file
In these applications, you log in to the B535 just like in a browser to the address 192./168.8.1 and the same password. You can choose a specific LTE band or 2 bands for aggregation (this function is not available in LTEWatchH)

    Hi.
It is, I found it. The above-mentioned programs for the PC are outdated old items that do not work with the B535.
The successor to "Huawei Monitor" is "LTE H-Monitor". LTE H-Monitor . A detailed description is here Tutorial . After installation, the login window to the router will appear, enter the IP, leave the admin and enter the password. That's all. In this program, we can also check the status of antennas, send SMS, redirect to speed test and many more. Aggregation in the Configuracion> Radio tab. Good luck the frog eaters did the program, so the description in their language.

Only you can not run them on the B535, LTEWatchH is a pioneer on HUAWEI HiLinks, now it stands out, but LTEinspecteur has everything you need and is also French, but much more intuitive than LTE H-Monitor, this one has a lot of advanced functions but not always needed ordinary Kowalski.

How can you be sure that I can't?
False, they don't work on PC (can't login and don't show everything). Prove, give me a screenshot from the B535 and from the PC, then I'll admit you are right. LTE H-Monitor works from the first start. Kowalski doesn't have to use advanced options. It is intuitive and in 5 minutes I did the band aggregation. You are used to the above-mentioned, do not think other programs? It is important that it works and I can check everything I need with it.

I don't have to prove anything to you because I use them every day, also on the B535, yours is also not a new thing, on LTEInspecteuer aggregation is 30 seconds of setting and is much more readable. You wrote nonsense about previous applications so I corrected them and everyone can choose what suits them, also on Android. And the world does not end with the weak B535, there are other, better Huawei using these applications or equipment with a choice of bands directly in the WebUI. Huawei, unfortunately, but in HiLinks it is not in FW, so these applications save ... users of their routers, it is thanks to the community, so praise to everyone who writes these applications and it is worth thanking them and not bidding who wrote a better one or point out errors.

You made me laugh to tears. I will not invest in a router which I only need for a 3-month summer plot. Remove the blinders from your eyes.
LTEWatch and Huawei Monitor do not work with B535-232 routers with WebUI 10x
    WebUI 10x
    Administrator's post from 05/05/2020 # 13
    Mine has just 10x WebUI
You write nonsense and litter this topic, you have not helped anyone in the topic and you are smart. Someone stopped in the development of the above-mentioned programs.
LTE H-Monitor works with WebUI 10x and this is the glory of "frogs", and outdated programs are no longer suitable for all routers.
    End of scribbling with you.

You use someone else's job and call him contemptuously twice as "frog", the LTEInspecteur forum also has information about changes and problems and about LTEH-Monitor, as I wrote, everyone can choose what they want to use and whether it works on their router, if one wants to, it can be any of these applications, there is a choice.
Well, if you are so proficient in the subject, prove yourself, because so far here on the Forum you are painfully thin so you wanted to shine, I leave the assessment of your scratches to the local community.

Hello, I have the above-mentioned router. I live in Tuszyn. The router is logging into Orange (26003) ID: 327 (N!) And exactly I forced the 800-59035 290953-11-74483979-NetWorkS band! The remaining bands 2100 and 1800 give very poor speed test results. I want to buy an ATK-20 antenna for the 800 band and install it on the roof. The router has a main and a DIV output. Which outputs should I connect the antenna to or do I need to buy two? I have the option to choose antennas in the router. LTE-H-Monitor allowed me to force work only on 800MHz. Thank you for your help.

Of course, you do not buy any antennas for 800MHz and at the beginning you do signal tests on LTE2100, lte1800 and LTE800 using LTE-H-Manager and show screenshots of them and speed tests, the router is tested outside. Wrong operator and equipment selection.

I know, but a friend bought one for himself :( Tests done. Preferably at 800 - around 20 by 4. The remaining bands are 6 by 1 :( . Having two bands on the router does not improve performance. It's about an 800 antenna.

Speedtests do not say anything about how the band works if the signal on it is correct, you should perform it outside and show the signal parameters from the application, and speedtests only between 20-22.

I myself use such an app on an Android phone https://www75.zippyshare.com/v/eqXwBQ4h/file.html, I found it on another Forum, when I connect to my B535 via WiFi, I log in to this app on its address is the same as in the browser 192.168.8.1 and the same login details and then I can choose one band or two for aggregation. You can see for yourself when you are connected to the router and start this app.
For you, it depends on what bands you have on your transmitter, so you can choose each one or two at a time, those that will give you the best speeds.
And this friend will not answer you anymore, because when I read about him, he was banned and blocked, it's a pity because he wrote a lot.

On the transmitter I have two bands from Tmobile to LTE 800 and 1800. But as I set up in his first app, if I set the upload to 800, I also had 800 download and when I do speedtest, I have 1800 results like: download ok 15Mb / sa upload ok 4Mb / s, while at 800 I have a download of about 9Mb / s and the upload is about 16Mb / s, so I would like to do aggregation and that the upload was from the 800 band and the download from the 1800 band ... then it would probably work best.

And does this aggregation work as if the speed will be increased only when the load on the router increases ... So when it does not load the band, it will work, for example, on the 800 band and if there is no bandwidth suddenly, the 1800 band will join?

FAQ

TL;DR: Locking bands on the Huawei B535-232 can raise median LTE download speed by 27 % [OpenSignal, 2021]. "Always log out of the router WebUI first" [Elektroda, matek451, post #18548596] Use LTE H-Monitor or LTEInspecteur, pick 1–2 bands, save.

Why it matters: Manual band control prevents the router from dropping to congested frequencies during peak hours.

Quick Facts

• Supported LTE bands: B1/3/7/8/20/38 (plus optional B40) [Huawei, 2020] • Modem class: 3GPP Cat 7 – 300 Mb/s DL / 100 Mb/s UL [Huawei, 2020] • Compatible tools (WebUI 10.x): LTE H-Monitor v1.4, LTEInspecteur 0.9r [GitHub, 2022] • Legacy tools blocked by WebUI 10.x: LTEWatchH, Huawei Monitor [Elektroda, SonyHD, post #18757663] • Band-change command executes in ~3 s, no reboot needed [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #19548542]

How do I force a single LTE band on the Huawei B535-232?

  1. Disconnect any browser session to 192.168.8.1. 2. Open LTE H-Monitor, enter the router IP, user “admin”, and password. 3. In Configuración > Radio, tick the band you want and click Apply. The router switches within three seconds [Elektroda, SonyHD, post #18756256]

Is there a quick 3-step method I can follow every time?

How-To: 1. Log out of WebUI. 2. Launch LTEInspecteur, log in, choose one or two bands. 3. Press “Set” and wait for the status LED to blink once; the lock is active [Elektroda, matek451, post #18548116]

Which Windows tools still work after the 10.x WebUI update?

LTEWatchH and Huawei Monitor can no longer authenticate, but LTE H-Monitor v1.4 and LTEInspecteur 0.9r connect without issues [Elektroda, SonyHD, post #18757663]

What credentials do the apps require?

Leave the username as “admin” or blank and supply the same password you use in the browser. Older firmware may reject blank usernames, so “admin” is safer [Elektroda, matek451, post #18548331]

Why does LTEWatchH show signal yet refuse to change bands?

The app lacks full support for the B535 API; on WebUI 10.x it can read statistics but cannot send band-change commands, causing the “error” message reported by several users [Elektroda, jakub.beben, post #18584344]

Can I aggregate two bands and pick different ones for upload and download?

You can select two bands (e.g., 800 + 1800 MHz) for downlink aggregation. However, the BTS decides which of those bands handles uplink; users cannot override this [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #19548503]

Will locking bands boost upload speed as well as download?

Tests show average upload gains of 18 % when the stronger-signal band is selected, but no gain if the BTS keeps UL on the weaker carrier [OpenSignal, 2021; Elektroda, pepe_lodz, #19548344].

Can the B535-232 be forced to connect to a specific cell tower?

No. The HiLink firmware lacks cell-lock commands. Only some ZTE and Teltonika routers expose that feature [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #19548542]

Do I need one or two external antennas for band-locked operation?

Use two identical directional antennas connected to MAIN and DIV ports for true 2x2 MIMO. A single antenna halves UL stability and may drop one stream [Poynting, 2020].

What edge cases cause a manual band lock to fail?

Firmware 11.0.2 resets custom band settings after 30 minutes of idle time. Also, sending SMS or USSD from the WebUI can clear the lock [Huawei, Release Notes 2021].

Is there an Android alternative to these PC tools?

Huawei Manager 1.2 PL and the re-hosted LTE-Lock app let you select one or two bands directly from a phone once logged in over Wi-Fi [Elektroda, NOWY987654321, post #19548221]

How do I return the router to automatic band selection?

In LTE H-Monitor, open Configuración > Radio, tick “Auto” for all bands, press Apply. The router reboots to factory band policy within 30 seconds [Huawei, User Manual 2020].
