I should warn you that I am a beginner.
According to this guide I have connected Module WiFi ESP8266 + NodeMCU v3 with LCD 2x16 . Unfortunately I only get 3.3V from this module, but this is supposedly not a problem.
I connected everything according to the intruction (+ and - are brought out with small jumpers) and it even showed hello world. I started to turn the potentiometer then suddenly some question marks appeared instead of letters and I noticed smoke. What went wrong?
Generally, this potentiometer falls off my board, so it's possible that something slipped. Could that have caused it?
