Recently I bought Steelseries Arctis 1 headphones and after plugging it in, it turned out that the microphone does not work in them. My computer uses Realtek drivers and detects it as a recording device. The microphone can be detached from the headphones. When I tried to connect the microphone directly to the computer via the minijack, it worked normally. It only works when connected to headphones. I was already looking for some settings in “Realtek Audio Console” but I didn't find anything there.
Thank you in advance for your help.

You write so intricately and incoherently that only you yourself can understand what it means. Describe clearly what and how you do from the very beginning in the next stages.

The basic question is what plugs / plugs do the headphones have? I suspect you're dealing with different output standards.

I have headphones with one minijack connector because the microphone is detachable. From what I've read, this connector is called a combojack. After plugging in headphones and enabling "Disable front panel jack detection" in the Realtek driver settings, the headphones themselves work fine (without enabling this feature, it doesn't show me any playback and recording device in Windows sound settings). Unfortunately, the microphone does not detect any signal when it is connected to the headphones, which is how it should be. It works only when connected directly to the computer via the minijack for the microphone.

Are you sure that there is polarization voltage in the socket to which you connect the microphone - necessary for the operation of the electret microphone?

So everything is clear, you insert the composite plug for headphones and microphone into the headphone input and expect correct functioning. Appropriate should be used przejściówkę na gniazdo słuchawkowe i gniazdo mikrofonowe. Przyjrzałeś się posiadanemu wtykowi przy słuchawkach? So I understand that it is enough to buy a combojack adapter with one input to two minijack connectors

    Everything indicates yes.

Unfortunately, after buying the "hama" adapter, the sound from the headphones becomes mono sound, and the microphone only repeats what the loudspeaker emits.

It turned out that it was enough to push the plug very hard and everything is fine, the headphones work properly. closing.

Topic summary

The user experienced issues with the microphone of their Steelseries Arctis 1 headset when connected to a computer using Realtek drivers. The headset features a combojack connector, and while the headphones functioned correctly after disabling front panel jack detection, the microphone did not register any signal when connected through the headset. Suggestions included checking for polarization voltage in the socket and using a combojack adapter to separate the headphone and microphone inputs. After purchasing an adapter, the user initially encountered mono sound and feedback issues but ultimately resolved the problem by ensuring a secure connection of the plug.
