    Hello,

I want to give up neostrada from Orange and I am considering fiber optic from UPC.

I use AirPort as a router in my apartment and I don't want to replace it. I have it connected to an Orange modem. When I call UPC, should I say that I want (demand? need?) ONT from them? UPC routers don't have a bridge option? Is there anything else I need to keep an eye on?

they have, at least I had such opportunities.

the question is whether they will actually come to you with light, or simply coaxial or another method of data transmission.

It all depends on how your backbone network is built:
    - coaxial cable to the apartment from the optical NOD in front of the block,
    - via GPON as light to the apartment,
    - via RFoG as light for the apartment, if you want TV via DVB-C or CI+ module
There are other possibilities, but it depends on what services you choose and how the network is built on the backbone.
Cable modem routers have a modem mode, for FTTH with ONT you will get an ONT and a Compal GW7557CE router assigned to it by the operator (I'm afraid you won't replace it, because you won't get data for the service, anyway, there are other dependencies that such a set must remain).
You can mark whatever you want, but the installer will bring what he has in stock for a specific frame service.
