    Hello

I bought Play Now Tv Box 2, for a week the remote control was not paired with the TV and the volume worked on the Tv Box,
I gave the option of pairing with the TV and now there is no way to go back to the initial state, i.e. to change the volume in the Tv Box.
I always have the TV turned down to 0 and I adjust the volume with the amplifier or, as before, with the Play Now Tv Box 2 remote control.
Holding the mute button for a long time only gives you the option to select any TV manually, but there is no way to go back.
Is there any way to reset the remote so that it will unpair with the TV and only be able to change the volume in the Tv Box?

    At least for an hour.

I took out the batteries for 2 hours and nothing helped, there is still volume control on the TV and not in the Tv Box.
I'll take it out for 24 hours, maybe it will help, but I don't think it will do anything.
Maybe someone has an idea, maybe some combination of buttons,

Just press the back button and the up button at the same time for about 5 seconds.
Pressing the back and up button again for 5 seconds the remote goes back to adjusting the TV.
You can change to decoder or TV control at any time.

It didn't reset the remote for me, but I found this solution and it helped:
To factory reset the remote, press and hold OK and Home (Play Now).

Hold down the mute button and the purple button with the right arrow at the same time helped me?

answer for Oliwia 4111 to restore the regulation with the remote control from the Play Box 3 set-top box:
press the purple house under OK and the OK button and hold it down for 3 seconds. Then check on any video if the voice on the remote control from the PLAYBOX 3 decoder works

    Hello
I have a similar problem, namely I can't turn the TV off and control the volume from the Play remote. The option to control the TV (under Remote and accessories) does not work - I click but nothing happens. The old remote from UPC worked without any problems. Anybody have any help?

    Hello
Unfortunately not... However, I'm not sure if it's not a malfunction of the remote control or the decoder. In the decoder in the settings, no function associated with the remote control works. When you click on it, nothing happens, but it should (talking about pairing the remote with the TV). Secondly, there is a purple LED on the remote and it flashes when any key is pressed, but not when the TV on/off button is pressed. I don't know what to do about it myself....

It seems to me that older TV models can't be paired with a remote control, because what reason would there be?

The problems are due to a software upgrade on the player.
After each update, the decoder is reset to factory settings and the remote and everything else has to be reconfigured.

And additionally, keep in mind that these are all add-on features and not standard - the operator decides and something that worked in the past doesn't necessarily work now.

Of course you're right, it's just that reconfiguration doesn't do anything. As I used to use 2 remotes, so I use. As for the operator's decision, it is unlikely to reduce the supported TV models.

Old models fly out because it is a natural action.
The cluster of new devices is growing, it's just not possible to add more.

    >>21281690 Have you tried pressing the "V" button (volume button) and the "OK" button on the remote simultaneously from a distance of 20-30 cm from the decoder and keeping them pressed for 3-5 seconds? After that, test the volume up and down, if it works, it is ok.

This is something that even Play itself does not know - for them it is a marginal issue.
Matters such as the handling of devices that are not owned by the operator are increasingly given the lowest priority and nobody, but nobody, pays any attention to this anymore.
It is there and it works - well that's hard :D .
There is and nothing works - also beautifully :D .
The next time the software is updated (or the decoder is completely replaced - and this will already be a different software and hardware version), nothing externally may work anymore and there is nothing you can do about it.

    >>19396680 Play forcefully replaced my old UPC set-top box with a Play Box Now and I had exactly the same problem until today...(until I came across this post).
I have the TV connected via an optical cable to the receiver and for grom I couldn't increase the (surprisingly low) volume on the Play set-top because the remote from the Play Box was forcefully trying to broadcast the TV to me.
A combination of the "back arrow" and "up arrow" keys (above OK) pressed for a few seconds switches the volume control from the TV to the set-top and back again 💪💪💪.

    >>21382263 I have also been forced to replace my UPC decoder with a Play Box, and one thing annoys me - I cannot force the remote attached to the Play Box to switch between HDMI ports on the TV (change the signal source).
I have devices connected to the TV to all 4 HDMI ports, and with the old remote control from the UPC decoder I could change the signal source. Here, unfortunately, I do not have this option, and often, for example, I play on a console, pause the game, switch to the TV for a few minutes and return to the game. Do you have any patent how to force this? To make matters worse, my TV remote died a long time ago, so at the moment the only remote that I can change the source of the signal is the remote from my old UPC decoder (it is good that I do not get rid of "electro-smash" so quickly and did not send it back to them :) )

    .
Ordinarily this decoder will not be developed any further, its support has ended, its time is up.
It was on a proprietary system, where all rights to it are held by Liberty Global of America (former owner of UPC Poland).
UPC Polska was sold to Pluj, but without any support from Liberty Global.

    Hey everyone😁
Me on the other hand with a question, how do you get back on the remote to be able to go back to the previous channel? I've fixed something to be able to control the volume on the TV with the PLAY remote, that I've disabled the ability to jump between two channels 😅 When I press the return arrow, it "dumps" me to the main "lobby" (as if I'd pressed the house).
    Greetings 😋🫡.
