Good day,
I would like to connect an air conditioner (5 units) LG S09ET under Home Assistant. I am keen not to do this via wifi. I also don't want any expensive adapters. I thought the standard would be some kind of connector I could connect to, but I couldn't find anything like that in the descriptions of this model (I don't have it to look at it carefully yet), and the installer worried me that there was no such support.
What I care most about is the ability to automatically switch on/off. The control doesn't need to be there.
I've read not to cut the power, so that's probably out.
So far I'm considering these two options:
1) Some kind of IR module opposite the air-conditioner
2) Connecting to a switch and simulating pressing the ON/OFF button
And the question is, is there another solution? Is either of these two better? Thank you in advance for your advice.
