    Hi,

As in the title, I am looking for a new generation router with WiFi 6 (802.11ax) supporting DD-WRT / OpenWrt / Tomato, so as not to use the manufacturer's software.

Yes, I checked supported devices on their website:

    https://www.enginoor.com/list-of-tomato-compatible-routers/
    https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices
    https://openwrt.org/toh/start

Unfortunately I don't see anything that has wifi6 and is on this list.
    Do you know any devices?

    Regards!

    Hi.

https://www.ceneo.pl/105313575 - probably fits the one you are looking for - https://openwrt.org/toh/totolink/x5000r

You're unlikely to have much luck with DD-WRT: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=327762
It's rather similar with tomato (initially it was for routers with Broadcom chipset).

Out of curiosity - why don't you want to use the manufacturer's software? There are routers that have powerful configuration options on their stock software (e.g. Mikrotik).

    Thanks for the answers.
Totolink X5000R fits my needs perfectly: vpn, wifi6, wpa3, mesh, 1Gb bandwidth, supports opensource soft.
Only this price, PLN 200, is surprisingly low! What are your opinions on this equipment?

Do you know any other equipment that meets these requirements, or only Totolink for now?

As for why he doesn't want the manufacturer's software? Often the manufacturer's software is heavier, more unreliable, more backdoors, fewer options. In addition, I strongly support the idea of open-source.

I was able to finally find the correct link: https://openwrt.org/toh/views/toh_available_16128_ax-wifi
The official site where they listed routers from AX. There is no madness, but I will choose one of them and see for myself.

DD-WRT and Tomato probably don't really have anything to say about it yet.

    Thanks again, topic closed!
