    Welcome.

I wanted to dismantle my Britax Romer Dualfix M i-size car seat. It started to turn 360 very hard and I wanted to clean it. However, I encountered a problem. I have now managed to unscrew it to the state as in picture 1. Now I don't know what to do next. The only options I can see are to pull out the plastic "pins", photo 2. The other option is to remove the 4 torx screws as in photo 3. Maybe someone has some experience? As for the grey pins, I have no idea how to remove them, don't want to do it by force. As for the torx screw, I need to modify the spanner as it's hard to get in there.
On the internet, literally nothing on the subject....

I have the same problem of the 360° swivel module working harder and harder, which I would also like to disassemble, lubricate and clean. Could you tell me how I managed to "separate" the seat from the base? I don't know where to start.

After unscrewing all visible screws, you additionally have to pull out metal tubes or rods, you name it. The screws are also hidden, only visible when turning 360 degrees.

I have also reached this stage. Have you managed to separate and clean this?

    .

Tomorrow I'm going to try and get to those four bolts marked in red on the isofix mount side. As you slide it out there is an option to give you access to them. Please if you have managed to dismantle it let us know. How do I remove the Britax Römer Dualfix M i-Size car seat? .

    I managed to dismantle it.
To pull it off you need to remove those gray blocks in the middle photo. They have pins. If you remove the 4 pieces, the swivel mechanism will come out by itself, but only in one position turned sort of sideways.
Let us know if you have any questions or if you were successful.

Thanks a lot for your help. I have managed to dismantle 1 😀 so far. Hopefully the rest will go more smoothly. I'm inserting an overview photo of what the plastic piece looks like, these metal plates need to be bent to make the piece come out. How do I remove the Britax Römer Dualfix M i-Size car seat? .

Thanks a lot. I managed to dismantle it. The plastic had such deep scratches that I had to rub it lightly with sandpaper, polish it, and lubricate it. It now runs better than new.

There should be plugs on the side that cover this pin.
Alternatively, please send me more photos as I'm not at home to look at the seat, but from what I remember there are plastic plugs that need to be pulled off.

The front pin is under the plugs the middle one is kind of under the seat itself where all the plastic is on the sides I will send you photos on Friday only because I am at work. I can send you an e-mail or some other contact, because here is a limit of 10mb and one picture comes to me only in case there is no problem I will send it here.

As for pulling out these metal bars, there are definitely these black plugs on the sides that look like rounded triangles. Additionally, as far as I can see, the seat must be in the right position to pull these bars out. You have to turn it around and change the position of the seat from sitting to lying down and see how to pull them out.

That's how I associate that this rod can only be pulled out once you've removed the seat. That is, it should more or less look like my first picture from this post. Because this rod is for the mechanism that changes the position to lying down.

Have you taken the back of the seat apart? How do I remove the Britax Römer Dualfix M i-Size car seat? .

You remove the back to remove the harness, but to remove the center bar and everything else you have to remove the upholstery, polystyrene etc. and then you can get to the bar and the other fixings you have to remove.

I have a question on a different subject - how to assemble this seat 🙈 I mean the smallest pin that is used to change the position of the seat - it should be in the grey gear for adjusting the position and in the guides with the pinion - how to put it together

From the back of the seat, spin it so that you can see those grey protections- photo #2 in the thread

@Ghost0071 thank you for your reply. I managed to open it with 2 screwdrivers. One short one to push these locks in and with the other longer one I "pulled" the whole thing towards me. As they say, the hardest first time ;) .

I still wanted to unscrew the push-button mechanism later, as it also goes hard, but here I was stuck for a moment. On the sides there are 3 latches next to each other, surely some screws from the bottom, but something at the button mechanism holds as if a screw was screwed in from the bottom, but inside and not outside. And on the other hand at the "legs" the plastics were also caught on something. In the end I gave up, just wiped the rotary mechanism with water paper grease and it works much better. Putting it back together was surprisingly no problem at all. If anyone has any tips on how to disassemble the next stage, i.e. the pushbutton mechanism then please advise :) .

Hello, I had a small crash with my child and had to clean the seat very deep.
I managed to take everything apart fairly quickly and put it back together yesterday, but the front rod caps don't fit me now. Can you remember if the front bar should be longer or shorter?

I got stuck on this too but it turned out that pi dismantling, with the middle strap I pulled the front end too far of its other end where the sheet metal that the back of the harness hooks onto and it all ran forward. Maybe you had the same problem
