Windows 10 Error: 0xc000012f

Hi.

Could you please help me with my friend's problem?

A similar error with the DataExchange.dll file appears with many programs and it seems that the situation is getting worse, at the beginning it was only with Adobe Reader, but reinstalling, changing the version or other combinations did not help.

@MajerM uninstall McAfee LiveSafe.

Strange, the file looks correct:

For the damaged one:

Extract the file from the attachment to C: and execute Fixlist.txt:
Copy: C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 \ DataExchange.dll C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 \ DataExchange.bck
Replace: C: \ DataExchange.dll C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 \ DataExchange.dll

After rebooting, check to see if anything has changed. If not, you can replace the system32 file, but it's a different one and I will give it later as needed.

Alternatively, you can also check the command: DISM / Online / Cleanup-Image / CheckHealth
Run in a cmd window running with administrator rights.

Problem solved thanks to your advice.

Delete the C: \ FRST folder and that's it.
