I decided to put Forza Horizon 5 (which I have running on an external SSD [pls just don't ask why, mistakes have been made] and since it gets f-ing hot in my room during summer this thing throttles like crazy) on an internal SSD I have left over from upgrading my laptop (256GB drive, only Forza will be on that drive). So far so good. When I connect the SSD before (important!) booting, it says sth like "restoring system" and then fails to do so with the options to a) shut down my PC b) try some alternative problem solving solution c) reset my pc d) close and continue to windows (doesn't work).

Now, when I boot up the PC first and then connect the SSD via a cable you'd use for cloning SATA drives it gets recognised and I can put stuff on the drive. Please help! If you don't know the solution, please tell me where else to look on reddit. Oh, and searching the internet also didn't bring up a solution
