    Hi,
I have familiarised myself with the ZAMEL Exta Life concept and am interested in it (based on marketing information).
Do you perhaps know of links, places "on the internet" where I can get feedback on this system (or suggestions for other solutions)?

Before I buy, I would like to see practical evaluations from people
who are using this system, so that I can at least get an idea of the scale of its use, an assessment of ZAMEL's support and how the system is developing?
I would like to know to what extent it has been adopted and how widely it is used?

I don't want to enter a system that turns out to be (has turned out to be) a dud, with no support or development prospects.
That is why I am asking for possible links, places on the Internet, where I can learn something from users, and not just read marketing descriptions.

Or do you know of such a "centre" of PRACTICAL knowledge about ZAMEL Exta Life
in view of the "deadness" of the official forum: https://www.forumextalife.pl/ which does not encourage its use at all?

    Hello

If the official forum is "dead" it's unlikely anyone is interested in this.
Maybe write to Zelmer on this matter to see what they will write back.

I have a number of Exta Free-controlled light points in and outside the house, and about 10 remote controls. Some of these are in the form of wall switches and the rest are remotes that are in cars.
In general the systems have been working for several years, but I have a few comments. Firstly, it sometimes happens that when switching on another light with the same remote control, but of course with a different button, another light, which was switched on earlier with a different button, goes off. I have reprogrammed everything several times and the story repeats itself after each reprogramming.
In addition, the programming itself is rather cumbersome, as it requires each time access to the junction box (add-on modules) and the subsequent programming of each remote control that is to control the channel and module in question. Programming monostable systems, i.e. those which switch off automatically after a measured time, is very troublesome, because during programming it is necessary to start the relevant function and wait as long as it is supposed to be switched on. In my case, I want the external lighting switched off automatically after 1 hour. The lamps in question are LEDs 50, 100 and 200W, which I have installed outside to illuminate the entire square. Unfortunately, it sometimes happens that despite programming the receiver as monostable and setting a time of 1 hour, the module simply does not switch off the lighting. It happens that the lights stay on outside all day as someone forgets to switch them off with the remote control when leaving the yard by car.
Another thing I don't like is how it works with normal wired switches of the monostable (bell) type. The module, which is programmed as monostable, only uses remote controls for timekeeping. If it is connected to a wired switch, it works on the principle of bistable on/off, without measuring the time and switching off after a set time.
My other comment is the rather poor range. The modules I have installed indoors respond to remote controls from a distance of less than 20m. This annoys me a little, as I sometimes drive my car into the backyard in reverse. The drive from the gate to the garage, where I most often park my car, is about 50m. Due to the poor range, I have to walk half the way without lighting the yard.
Overall I am positive about the system, but I am a little annoyed by the shortcomings.
Overall they could have done the programming using one of the pre-programmed remotes, as is done in many remote control systems. Currently, buying another remote control is a lot of work to get it into the receivers.
In addition, they should have done the time setting in a different way, e.g. by counting the flashes or button presses corresponding to successive time intervals.

    Hey Plumpi,
thanks for the feedback and the broad comment! :) .
But what I am interested in (as I wrote precisely)
Not the Exta Free system - which you use and about which you write,
but Exta Life - which is (almost) a completely different system.
Exta Life works not only by radio (like Exta Free), but also via WiFi and in the cloud).
Because of this, it has different features and probably behaves differently.

But I have already found a "source of knowledge" :) .
It's the "Exta Life" group - on Fb
And the dead forum I mentioned was a "private" initiative,
completely unrelated to the ZAMEL company - the manufacturer of the system.

    Thanks :) .

Hello, I am just giving up and selling the whole Zamela Exta Life system. This is some kind of misunderstanding. Zamela is not 100 years behind the negroes. It is 200 years! Controller, 13 roller shutter controllers, blinds and a few other sensors. I'll give it all away for £800.
