    Hello
    Problem maybe trivial...
How do I create an account on this platform if I don't have an email account associated with the university?

Thingspeak. Setting up an account. Another platform with similar functionality.

    Can this be circumvented?
Or what other platform should I choose?
I want to obtain temperature graphs using ESP(8266, NODEMCU) and Arduino modules.

    Greetings.

When I created an account, it was possible to choose the free option not only for students, but also "home", only there is a limited number of channels to create, 3 I think. There is also a limited number of data logins, but for these 3 channels, each with 8 fields, every 15 minutes is enough.
Otherwise, you can install your own thinkspeak, e.g. if you have a Synology or Qnap network drive, install the docker and there are ready images from thinkspeak. All you need is an external IP, if you want to connect to such a server, e.g. from your phone to generate such a graph using a widget on the phone desktop anywhere in the world. You can also replace the network drive with an RPi, a terminal for a couple of bucks from Allegro or an old laptop. I have also run such a server on a tablet, the hardest thing was to replace Windows with Linux, once there is Linux it is a tutorial from the internet and step by step docker, thinkspeak image selection and it works.

    Thank you for your reply.

I don't know if I am wrong, because the HOME version is paid.

I even selected updates every 1h....
Do I make a mistake somewhere?

Can I click with these 75 euro? Not very intuitive.

    Greetings.

    No.
I created another account to see how it looks now. The accounts have been linked to mathworks and now it's actually on mathworks that they are set up to use thingspeak.
After choosing to set up an account and entering my email I got a link to confirm it. There were a couple of attempts here, as sometimes it logged me in automatically to my old account, then after choosing to log in to thingspeak it tried to ask me for my password, which I had not provided. The third time I got a link where I entered a password and its confirmation, I logged in it mathworks.
Message that I have no licence. I left there and went back to thingspeak.
Now the login and password already worked, at this first login I selected personal from the selection options and created the first NEW channel. I can still create 3, so a total of 4, there are 3million messages left (device logs), this is the annual limit, the daily limit is 8219.

    Thanks for the Help.

    I have created my channel.

I have a problem with the secret library, but that's another topic.

I am just curious, do these 4 free variables have to be from the same IP?

    Greetings.

It's not just 4 variables, you have 4 channels, on each 8 fields, you can save 32 variables at the same time, the limitation is time and quantity, you can't probably do more often than every 15s, although I don't know how it's limited, to one profile, channel or field. For example, I put temperatures from four ESPs onto one channel, each recording 2 fields. Or to one channel flies the temperature every 1 minute, to another every 15 minutes, to a third the battery voltage every 24 hours from a different ESP. From different ESPs this is somehow not synchronised, so it can happen that some 2 records/readings happen within this 15s interval.
Readings also fly from phones with widgets on android, the IP is sometimes home and sometimes the mobile operator.
For real home applications it is difficult to exceed these limits, and if necessary you can set up an additional 4 channels to another email.
