Aaa, because there are no commas here! After a long while I realised that there are 3 pins total here. Also... Depends what the sensors are. It would be best to use a separate circuit with multiple outputs, and digitally communicate it over this one pin.

And what is such an arrangement called for pin splitting?

Probably a multiplexer - if we are talking about inputs/outputs for communication.
