I am diy guy that try to lears some electronics and i have to fix sony str 11l. I am currently trying to find one component. On diagram it's marked as C803 and on photo it's the green flat piece in the middle with just 223p on it. Can you help me and point out is it capacitor or something else.

    It is not 223p but 223, i.e. 22000pF, i.e. 22nF

Why did you even suspect it might be a varistor? After all, if you have a diagram, you can immediately see that it is a symbol of a capacitor. Additionally, the designation C stands for capacity. I will also add that in addition to the values mentioned above, there is also 0.022µF. It's also 223.

Thank you for clarifying. I thought that it's a varistor as that was some information I could find online according to that number. That missing capacitor is replaced with a new one but I still can't figure out why there is no voltage for the radio.

    Show the entire radio diagram.
Measure the voltages of the power supply, but start from the primary side of the transformer and the mains power cable.

First, measure the alternating voltage (AC) at the points indicated by the green arrows.

Let the author of the topic first look at the schematic diagram with understanding and wash the board, or at least its fragments, with isopropanol to remove the layers of dust because the inscriptions are difficult to read.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around identifying component C803 in the Sony STR 11L amplifier, which is marked as 223p on the diagram. Participants clarify that C803 is a capacitor, specifically a 22nF (22000pF) component, and not a varistor as initially suspected. The conversation also touches on troubleshooting the amplifier, suggesting the measurement of voltages from the power supply and the importance of cleaning the circuit board for better visibility of markings. The missing C802 capacitor (330µF 25V) is also noted as a point of concern.
