    Hello

    My dear Polish friend has a Technicolor CGA2121 from the internet company NetiaOnline.pl and an GL.iNet GL-AX1800 Flint.

    He is Handicap person and when he is in Hospital outside Poland for some weeks he want to acces his internet connexion at home in Krakow.

    I try to Help him but i dont understand the port forwarding of Technicolor CGA2121 to allow the VPN (Wireguard) server who is set well on the GL.iNet GL-AX1800 Flint.

    Those are the setup:

    ---------------------------------------------------------
    the Technicolor CGA2121 have the IP adress : 192.168.0.1

    No TV option, No Phone option, Just for internet.

    Internet provider : NetiaOnline.pl

    - The internet IP is Always the same adress it not change when i check on https://whatismyipaddress.com/

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Port forwarding settings window in Technicolor CGA2121.

    ---------------------------------------------------------
    the GL.iNet GL-AX1800 Flint have the IP adress : 192.168.8.1 (VPN server Wireguard)

    This router have an ethernet wire connected on the "Port WAN" the other side of the Ethernet wire is connected to the Ethernet Port of the Technicolor CGA2121.

    VPN Wireguard settings :
    **************************
    IPV4 adress : 10.0.0.1/24
    Listen Port : 51820

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Screenshot of GL.iNet admin panel showing WireGuard server configuration.

    Questions please ;
    ----------------------

    1- How to fill the port fowarding settings in the settings of the Technicolor CGA2121. i dont know if we need to make port forwarding....

    2- the internet provider give us always the same IP adress when we restart the Technicolor CGA2121, in that situation do we need to create on the GL.iNet GL-AX1800 Flint (the VPN server router) an DynamicDNS ?

    3- i did well to connect the Technicolor CGA2121 on the Port WAN of the GL.iNet GL-AX1800 Flint (the VPN server router) ?

    4- Thank you alot for Helping my friend :)

    @Fraizer
    Is the IP address on the WAN side of Technicolor public (preferably public static)?
    Without this, you will not be able to run the VPN server.
    Without a public IP address, port forwarding will also not work.

    If we want to connect our own router to Technicolor, it must be operated in bridge mode.
    Otherwise, there is no point in using two routers in one network.
    Connecting two routers together is correct, but you should apply what I gave in the paragraph above.

    If you have a public IP address for Technicolor, Technicolor will be in bridge mode, you don't set anything there (anyway, in bridge mode, you can't set anything). You set everything on GL.iNet.
