Hi, I'll start by pointing out that when it comes to smart home I'm green on the subject, but with my backyard being ditched by small renovations, I figured it was a good time to lay cables for future developments so I'm not digging from scratch next year. I will briefly describe what I have and then what I expect and my idea, maybe one of you can help me:)
So yes, I own at the moment:
-Synology NAS (camera recording, possibly running Python scripts on it in the future to control the lights/surveillance)
-2x Reolink Duo 2 PoE cameras
-PoE switch max 35W (currently hooked up to 2 cameras, which with LEDs on, take no more than 20-25W, so there is a power reserve left for Acces Point PoE to the mains).
-30 NOSTALIT 12X12 LED lights, which according to the specifications on the website take 6W max (I want to divide them into 4 separately controlled sections, arduino control???)
-arduino from previous projects
-Bathroom radio 20W RMS power per channel (2 channels) I would like to use it to power speakers outside
What it needs:
-Definitely a voice assistant to control the irrigation of the garden, turn on the camera view on the projector, switch the music outside, control the lighting
-Outdoor microphones to listen to my commands in the yard outside the house, which I can somehow hook up to my voice assistant
-Several WiFi sockets that will be switched on/off by the voice assistant
-A PoE Acces Point that will cover an open area (10mx10m) with no physical obstructions, it will hang 3.5m above the ground
-2 weatherproof outdoor speakers of at least 25-30W RMS
- Garden irrigation system (3 separately controlled sections, hoses, connectors and irrigation tips I will take care of myself, I am more interested in help with the selection of the controller (arduino will handle leds and irrigation at the same time??), electro-valves, humidity and rain sensors
-weather station for real-time display of humidity, temperature, etc
-a smartwatch to handle my voice assistant in the house (outside I plan to deploy microphones)
-lots of cables that I will have to pull underground in conduit (Can I use e.g. 5x1mm to control the LEDs via the arduino and split these 5 wires into 3 separate sections? The distance from the last lamp to the arduino is about 50m)
I'd like to be able to pin it all down with Python (I'm fairly familiar with it), so that everything is compatible with each other and there's no situation where the Wifi socket doesn't accept commands from the temperature sensor or something like that ๐ You guys surely know what I mean....
Is this a very complex project in your opinion?
