    Good morning.

    I am looking for help with a smart home installation, mainly in the area of lighting, and including the ability to control from the Home Assisstant app and maximum future expandability.

    I am currently doing a general renovation of the house (350 m2, 4 floors) and I am distributing all the installations, I am doing among other things a heavily extended and advanced internet installation (including 2 racks on different floors, 2/3 CAT 6a twisted pair in each room, access points, meshes, sockets, the system will be based on tp-link or ubiquiti devices, etc) and electrical (3 electrical boxes on different floors, new wiring).

    In principle, I have already established systems for such installations as alarm (DSC), cameras (specific manufacturer and model to be determined, e.g. Hikvision, Dahua, Ajax), intercom (similar to cameras to be determined), roller shutters (I want to select an appropriate system of extension modules, by the same company as in the case of lighting), heating (Viessmann cooker with ViCare app, floor control system in individual zones and rooms to be determined in the future).

    I am aiming to expand the system in the future and control it from Home Assisstant, or possibly control specific appliances from the manufacturer's app if it turns out to be better than HA.

    I've already contacted probably five different smarthome installers and everyone suggests something different, I've done quite a bit of reading myself, but unfortunately I'm still struggling to find the right system/manufacturer as I don't have as much technical knowledge as the installers or experience of operating on the systems in question. E.g. Loxone is beyond my budget (I would also not like to stretch kilometres of cables in their system, i.e. going down to the modules in the switchboard with electrical cables from the lamp and twisted-pair cables from the switches ), Fibaro - quite expensive and potential interference in wireless communication (from what I have read on industry forums. I'm currently in talks with the company that is installing my alarm, cameras, roller shutters and internet installation, so I can be sure that above all the internet system will work safely and correctly.

    The biggest problem in my case is the selection of a lighting system with a dimming option, and potentially a colour change (warm/cold) for the led strips. The aforementioned company proposes the following cable layout:

    1. the bulb (lighting circuit) connects to the box under the switch with an electrical cable,

    2. the module is located in the box under the switch;

    3. the switch itself is to be traditional, not smart, e.g. Hager Berker from the Kwadrat series or Simon 54, good quality, design and reasonably affordable;

    - due to costs (e.g. the cost of manual dimmers), I would like to use a system where I have a regular switch (on/off), and the control of dimming or colour will be done only from the application, especially since I would like to configure scenes (e.g. appropriate light intensity depending on the time of day)

    4. the box will be with a so-called pocket, so that I can conveniently connect the module;

    5. there will be a module (connected to the switch) in the box behind the switch - in this regard, the company is yet to propose me a suitable model and manufacturer;

    6. there is an electrical cable coming into the box from the electrical box, as well as a twisted pair from the Internet switchboard - I don't know how this will connect to the module and the switch.

    7. it also remains to be established whether, in the case of staircase or cross-over switches, I need to run a twisted pair cable to each switch and whether there must be a module at each switch;

    So, I am going to use an aftermarket system, but wired. Please kindly advise if this scheme is correct. As far as I can tell, most of the extension box modules are based on wifi or radio communication, I don't know if there is a possibility to connect them via twisted pair to the internet switchboard.

    I would also be grateful if you could recommend a tried and tested manufacturer/model of module that will meet the above requirements and work quite faultlessly (with the ability to synchronise with HA) - Tasmota, Sonoff, Zamel systems are quite popular, but I am completely unaware of their effectiveness and performance capabilities. Thank you in advance for any help!
