Hey guys,
I picked up a couple of these bulbs from the local Walmart. Correct me if I am wrong, per Tasmota website this device should be flashable. Should I try to retrieve the current firmware or should I just flash the device using Tuya-Convert? Now I know I can retrieve the firmware from the app. But I am a bit hesitant because my last bulbs using the Tuya app updated the firmware to 3.30 (not sure even the firmware has anything to do with it though) before I found this information. Though, I checked the firmware update list and this firmware came out early 2022 I believe. These two current devices are attached to Home Assistant using the Local Tuya integration. Is the app the only means of retrieving the firmware? Also, how the heck are you guys removing the plastic bulb from the LED light without having to cut them off? It was the only way on another brand bulb I was using UART to flash?
Thanks, Rob
