Keeping the panels in extreme temperatures or humidity can cause degradation, but in dry, clean rooms at room temperature nothing should happen. LED backlights degrade from temperature and with time of use.

I have portable consoles R36S and Powkiddy Q80 they have LCD LED IPS panel display and I store them in the dark inside boxes unfortunately even using a dehumidifier I can't control humidity 57-68% and temperature 34-36C if I store without power and without use for years the LCD LED IPS display will lose backlight efficiency, loss of power and efficiency of the LEDs, the liquid crystal will generate dead pixels and LCD slowness problems
