A circuit will follow the sun if you put wheels on it with a motor to drive each wheel and four solar panels mounted above the circuit in a diamond arrangement. One solar panel per motor, one motor per wheel. Wire the right front solar panel to the left front wheel motor, and the left front solar panel to the right front wheel motor--making sure to observe polarity such that the rotation of the wheel will steer the circuit towards the sun. Do the same with the back wheels.

As it is unlikely, with this arrangement, your circuit will be able to keep up with the sun, this will only work when the sun is in the sky. If you want your circuit to follow the sun 24/7, you will need to replace the motors with jet engines (or the equivalent).

only a little too late. i already have a mounting and steering system, using old 8 ft satellite equipment. i'm just looking for a relay-output circuit to follow the sun from dawn to dusk, with a return to east at sundown. i'll check google, etc. as suggested by first post. any other help would be appreciated!

I've always thought that it would be cheaper and less complex to just use two panels in an A-frame configuration that is tilted appropriately for the latitude. That way, one of the panels will pick up full sun in the morning, the other will catch the afternoon sun, and around noon, they would both contribute, but I haven't tested this.

thanks for your input, Steve, At this point in the project, no PV panels are involved. I am heating water, although not with typical flat-panel collectors. i an using a satellite mount to aim an unusual collector at the sun. I am using the original 8 ft dish actuators, and possibly the original drivers. i think i have now found some tracking circuits that i can adapt to my situation. thanks for your suggestions, the first one gave me a much needed laugh!
