I was wondering is it possible to build up a simple standalone not computer-connected WIFI SSID broadcaster device from parts ordered from web? We are working on a software tool which requires a single SSID broadcaster device, I need to build a prototype to test it. I was browsing on the Broadcast website to find the best chip for this project, but as I am a newbie on this field I would like to ask the community about their opinion and experience.
The main goal is to build up a standalone device which has its own power source (battery), able to broadcast the signal ~ 100 m distance on IEEE802.11x spec. The SSID will be static.
Has somebody got any experience on this field? Any would be most welcome!
