Hello all,

We are in the final stages of product development for an instrument that we will sell to the automotive industry. The instrument is operational between 6-36 VDC.

Is it common practice to label instruments with some "slop" on the lower end or should the label read 6-36 VDC?

Hi Jason,

I'm not sure what do you mean with slop.

If you're talking about the operational voltage, that's common to instruments. We can consider the relative error as long as it will not affect the operation.

If you're talking about the slop on labels literally, it is just okay but it is not good. If you aim for more good feedback, then fix it.
