Amplifier with TDA7293 get hot?

I recently bought some TDA7293 chips in order to make amplifiers, but when I tested one it got hot! I've checked the wiring several times. I'm using this circuit :  http://xtronic.org/circuit/amplifier/circuit-...93-200-watts-rms-total-includes-power-supply/
I'm using +-8V supply, which is bellow the minimum voltage according to the datasheet, so it shouldn't work nor get hot!  If I use a higher supply voltaje it gets hot faster.
Any ideas?

Active Devices like transistors themselves do heat up fast. One reason that may have caused the heating up is the current is too high. One remedy you can use is using a heatsink specially when dealing with high power.

Check the data sheets for the TDA7293, you will find that a good heat sink is needed, which is why the two TDA parts are on the edge of the PCB, allowing them to be bolted on easily.
If you look at the list of parts under miscellanious, you will see heat sink mentioned. The sizing (thermal resistance in K/W) will depend on the power supply and speaker impedance. The heat sinks may need to be isolated from each other electrically, check what the tab is connected to in the data sheet.

Hi. I'm using a heatsink for the TDA (I'm doing tests with only one TDA on board). When I power it with +- 8V heat increases slowly, but when I power it with a higher votaje it gets hot faster! even with a heatsink it gets VERY hot if you let the power connected for a while (about minute or two)! O_O!

As you increase the voltage it will get hotter, check that the heatsink is correctly designed,

pl check that you have not shorted the -ive to the gnd point on the chassis . check for
any shorting of ic pins or shorted cap or tracks. check heat sink shorting with ic pins or negative supply,conduct a cold check from + to - and +ive to gnd.for any short.

isolate both the channel and connect supply to one channel and check.
check polarity of diodes. check any mounting screws shorting the +ive or _ive supply to chassis or gnd.
