Ive been searching for a chip that seems to not exist on this earth anymore. Its the Reticon R5101 .. Anyone know anything about it. It was used in a MXR Flanger doubler.. those chips are made any more.

For now at my level, recreating or trying to recreate a chip is above my level.

How hard would it be to recreate this chip?

There are still a few CCD delay lines available, MN3207 and MN3102 chips are available via ebay and probably represent the best way to replace the R5101. Alternatively, use a 16 bit or better ADC, microcontroller and a 16 bit or better DAC and just do the delay in software.
