Is It Possible to Run a Generator Indefinitely Using a Flywheel and 2HP Motor Setup?

Dear experts,

Some one share a video, in which he was generating electricty for free.

He has 1 electric motor 2 HP, 1 Flywheel about 25 kg or whatever and 1 generator.

His design 

Generator---flywheel---electric motor of 2HP,

All three are connected with balts.

He first run on electric motor by electricity.

when flywheel got maximum speed,same time generator also producing electricity.

Then he unplug electric motor from external electicity and plug into generator,

Generator runing electric moter and also some other

Devices.

I hope you will got the idea what i explain.

My question is , is this type of generator effective for long time runing,if yes how can we maximize the power.

Theoretically, flywheel effect causes a continues oscillation after a trigger has been removed, normally observed on oscillator circuits. I would say, this is not for a long time use. The maximum power depends on the motor characteristics. Search on flywheeling or flywheel effect.

Nothing is free, he won't get as much energy out as he puts into it. An electric motor is not 100% efficient at converting electrical to mechanical energy, On the flywheel, the belts are lossy, the bearings, and unless the unit is in enclosed and the air removed, there is air resistance as well. After all of that, the generator on the flywheel is not 100% efficient at converting mechanical to electrical energy. That covers the issue of maximizing power.
Obviously the flywheel can store energy, and large units have been used to power vehicles, for example. The problem with them is that to get any useful energy out of them, they tend to have to have a large mass, need to get up to a good speed, and operate in an enclosed space with low to zero air pressure. For these reasons they can be difficult to design and build, dangerous if they fly apart, and unless they are operating in a stationary situation, the gyroscopic effect can be problematic.
On this topic, check out homopolar generators as well, they have found application over the years too.
Don't be put off by my comments, do some maths and see what you can come up with, if you have an end use in mind. In the long run though, for low power requirements, a battery is probably more effective for storage and power extraction,
