Hi,

A client of mine brought me a job related to gr10 reference station,according to him the device has failed to start after a lightning during a rainstorm.

The device operates on a 12v DC supply.How do I check if the fault is with the dc board or the processor board.

Most likely, if it was a high current surge the fault would be in the dc board but can affect the processor also if worst. If you turn it on, does it have supply voltage? If not, it might be just the supply part of the board. I believe devices like this have surge protection or better yet fuses/breakers. Let just hope there is no damage with the processor.

If i try turning it on after applying the required 12v dc,it doesn't turn on.
