How to Connect 4-Pin Common Anode RGB LEDs to PC Case with 12V PSU and Controller?

Hi good day to all. I'm new here and this is actually my first post. I'm new to these leds or any electrical stuffs, but I want to learn how I am going to use it. I Mod computer cases and wanted to use RGB leds for it. So basically, I will buy a RGB controller and RGB Leds. The RGB 4pins Common anode Leds came in today, but I'm not sure how I am gonna connect all of those? I was searching the net and it says that I couldn't wire it in series. What could possibly the best way to wire the leds? Also, do I still need resistors for it even I am going to use a led controller? If yes, what resistor for 12v rail of a computer PSU? If somebody can give me instruction on how I am going to connect the to controller then I would be so glad. Please avoid using electrical language, I might not get it. Thank you. 

It worries me when you say that you are modifying computer cases and you want to use RGB LEDs -- and then you say "please avoid using electrical language" -- if you are serious, then you stand a good chance of electrocuting yourself .A tri-colored (RGB) LED has three LEDs inside a common case -- one red, one green, and one blue. In the case of traditional tri-colored LEDs, there are two basic types -- the common anode to which you refer means that the +ve (positive) sides of all three LEDS are connected together.If you were connecting this directly to a power supply, then the data sheet will specify some forward voltage drop Vf for each diode -- let's assume that this is 2V for each diode -- the data sheet will also specify the forward current value If -- let's assume this is 20mA  (or 0.02A) for each diode. So, assuming your +ve value (let's call this Vsupply) is 12V, the equation we use is R = (Vsupply - Vf) / If. In your case this means the value of each current limiting resistor R is (12 - 2) / 0.02 = 10 / 0.02 =  500 ohms.Note that if you have different Vf and If values for each LED, you will need three different resistors.
I don't know what controller you are using, so I don't know if it already contains these current limiting resistors.Personally, if I were lighting the inside of a computer case, I'd be tempted to use NeoPixel (WS2812 LEDs) strips from Adafruit because you can control whole strings using a single pin from a simple microcontroller like an Arduinoi Nano (see this article).

Hi Can-Max is absolutely correct (and he gave you a nice little diagram too!), but I would like to add one thing- The resistor calculations he discussed will give you the resistor value that will illuminate the LED's to maximum brightness.  Turning on all three colors at the same time will give you something approaching white light.  If you want to adjust the brightness of each color,   INCREASE the resistor value you determined from the formula in his post.  Increasing the value will make the associated LED dimmer. Never use a resistor that is lower in value that what the formula suggests.  If you do, the LED will likely fail.-Rick

I missed part of your original question-  If you're using an LED controller, the controller is set up for common anode LED's, and the controller's current output is equal to or less than the maximum current rating of the LED's, then you don't need resistors if you're only controlling one big RGB led.  If you've got a bunch of RGB LED's in parallel, then make sure the controller's current output is not greater than the sum of all of the LED's that will be connected to it.  You may want to put a low value "balancing" resistor in series with each LED in the groups that will be paralleled together- maybe 100 ohms or so.  This helps allow for small differences between the LED's.
