HI
I am not an engineer, but I would like to ask the following
I have a medical device that always used an SPI Quad IO with a thermal pad which worked fine. We recently changed to a regular SPI memory chip with no thermal pad because of part obsolescence. We did not modify the firmware, CSI not MISO or MOSO. The problem we have is that the memory chip record data, but we are not able to download the data. As per the design, the memory chip can't be removed because is covered by over-molding. We access the memory via a USB tool
is there anything I need to consider downloading the data?
