I need to replace the Shelly Gen3 Wifi relay located in the detached garage that is used to open the gate with one that will work with the TaHoma switch panel located in the house next door. What device should I replace the current WiFi relay with?

Shelly Plus 1 Gen3 relay installed in a garage electrical setup .

What is the reason for the replacement?

To which contacts in the gate control panel is this Shelly connected ?

The reason for the replacement is that the gate is to be able to be controlled from a dedicated application for the TaHoma switch panel. This Shelly is connected to the contacts that allow the gate to be controlled by e.g.: a monostable wall switch.

Well, but the application dedicated to the TaHoma gate and this Shelly are like two different and independent channels. Replacing the Shelly with another similar relay connected in the same way to the gate control panel will not add anything to this circuit because, as you wrote yourself, this Shelly replaces the wall switch and this is the role of this Shelly (replacing the wall switch - as you call it).

Is there an application for this Shelly ?

    Ok... I think I understood ;) .

Tahoma switch is a home automation control panel. You want to integrate your gateway (unknown) with the home automation control panel (with Tahoma Switch).

    What is your gateway ?

Watch how this is done with other gateways. There are two paths mentioned during configuration.... - one of which is the remote control. In my opinion this Shelly or its replacement will not contribute anything.

I am aware that I will not see my gate as a gate in the Somfy app. I was thinking more about whether it would be possible to implement opening the gate using a relay with ZigBee 3.0 communication. I found something like this: Shelly 1 Gen4, or OXT T250. The question is whether either of these relays will connect to the TaHoma switch and be seen in the application e.g.: as another device.

I think you need to look not to Shelly but to Somfy - that is, the kind of relay that is accessible from the TaHoma Switch app. Ideally, it would simulate a momentary push - i.e. on and a second later off. In some automation systems, a simple button from turning on a light in the house can be configured in this way. It must have potential-free contacts.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Somfy - maybe Shelly (some) is supported in Somfy.

Topic summary

The discussion concerns replacing a Shelly Gen3 WiFi relay used to control a gate in a detached garage with a device compatible with the TaHoma switch panel for integrated control via the TaHoma app. The existing Shelly relay operates by simulating a monostable wall switch connected to the gate control panel, specifically a Beninca gate with a HEADY 24 controller. However, the Shelly relay and the TaHoma system function as independent control channels, so simply replacing the Shelly with a similar relay will not enable integration with the TaHoma app. The user is exploring the possibility of using a ZigBee 3.0 relay such as the Shelly 1 Gen4 or OXT T250 to achieve visibility and control within the TaHoma ecosystem. Responses suggest that the ideal solution is a Somfy-compatible relay with potential-free contacts capable of simulating a momentary push-button action, as this would be natively supported by the TaHoma switch panel. There is uncertainty whether Shelly devices are supported by Somfy, and the recommendation is to seek Somfy-branded or compatible relays designed for TaHoma integration.
