Title: ADATA UV128 64 GB (VID_125F&PID_0100) - Write protected / I/O error on clean, read works fine.
    Hello everyone,
I have an ADATA UV128 64 GB USB flash drive that suddenly went into write-protected mode while copying files (the copy operation triggered a "Retry" prompt, and after that the drive became read-only).
    Symptoms:
I can read all existing files normally without any issue (already backed up all data).
I cannot delete, modify, or write any new files.
Windows format fails with "The disk is write-protected".
diskpart → attributes disk clear readonly runs successfully.

diskpart → clean fails with: "DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."
No physical write-protect switch on this model.
    Device identification:
    VID: 125F
    PID: 0100
    Manufacturer: ADATA
    Product: ADATA USB Flash Drive
    Serial Number: 48328602
Device Revision: 0110 / 0200 (varies slightly depending on USB port used)
    Physical Disk Capacity: 63333990400 bytes
Protocol: USB 3.20 (also detected as USB 2.10 depending on port)
Design: Chip-on-Board (COB), fully epoxy-sealed - no discrete controller chip visible.
Tools tried (both failed to identify the controller):
ChipGenius v4/v19: Controller Part-Number = "Not recognized during normal detection" / "Unknown"
    USBFlashInfo (antspec.com) v9.4.0.645: Controller = "Unknown", Possible Memory Chip(s) = "Not available"
Based on other UV128/64 GB reports I found (VID_125F&PID_DB8A with SM3267AB/SM3268AB controllers), I suspect this may be a Silicon Motion SM32xx series controller, but I cannot confirm since both tools fail to detect it, likely due to the COB design or a firmware fault preventing full identification.
I already backed up all data, so I'm fine with any repair method that requires a full low-level format/re-flash. Could anyone help identify the correct controller and the corresponding MPTool for this exact VID/PID combination?
Thank you in advance for any help.
