i need help with the topic of controlling a PLC via sms. My question:
Has anyone already tried to connect a GSM phone to the PLC instead of a dedicated GSM module?
I have done a market reconnaissance and the cheapest GSM module just dedicated to the Vision120 controller costs 645PLN net and I wonder if it can be done cheaper. I was thinking of connecting a telephone to the controller via the RS232 port. Is my reasoning good because if the phone has Rx and Tx lines the same as the controller it is enough to convert the voltages to common ground and it should work (but unfortunately it doesn't), I used an Ericsson T65 for this. Attached is the controller and phone socket with voltage conversion. Thank you in advance for your help
