Hello Colleagues.
I would like to ask you to share your opinions on the HAPCAN home automation system.
I have looked at several different systems and the above mentioned one is one of the cheaper ones. I would like to ask you whether it is based on the principle of "g...wno dasz g...ówno masz", or whether, due to the fact that it is an open project, it is cheaper. I'm also interested in your views on whether the self-assembly KITs sold there are really a way to save money or whether there are so many problems with assembly that the savings are apparent and complaints returns etc. result in a waste of both money and time. Out of curiosity I'll ask you - it seems to me that a transformer soldering iron should not be used for soldering this type of electronics, only a flask, can anyone give me a hint as to what is worth buying should it turn out to be worth assembling these KITs.
I would like to mention here. that I am an electronics technician by training, so that I have some idea of electronics, however I have not worked in my profession for many years.
If any of you have encountered this system, please give me your opinion. On the basis of a preliminary analysis of this system, it seems to me that it allows for a fairly advanced automation of the building, except that there are more possibilities of "controlling" the building from the computer level (smartphone) than from the level of the building itself, i.e. the functions of switching etc. are realised by traditional equipment (without switches with multi-room displays, where the building control can be realised from any room in the building)
