    Welcome to all forum members!
As a design and integration company, we have started to produce and sell devices that work with WAGO controllers.
Our first product was the ELB-TP digital temperature sensor, our next product is the ELB-KW 1-Wire to RS-232 bus converter.

How to connect the 1-Wire to RS-232 converter ELB-KW to WAGO controllers? How to connect the 1-Wire to RS-232 converter ELB-KW to WAGO controllers? How to connect the 1-Wire to RS-232 converter ELB-KW to WAGO controllers? How to connect the 1-Wire to RS-232 converter ELB-KW to WAGO controllers? How to connect the 1-Wire to RS-232 converter ELB-KW to WAGO controllers?

The 1-WIRE to RS-232 bus converter ELB-KW enables systems with a 1-WIRE interface, such as temperature sensors, humidity sensors, real-time clocks, EPROMs, A/C converters, battery monitors, etc., to be connected to a host system, which can be a PC or PLC. With the ELB-KW converter, it is possible to connect more than 100 systems with a 1-WIRE interface to the master system over distances of up to 300 metres. The ELB-KW is designed to be powered from an external 24V DC voltage source. Thanks to the use of a DC/DC converter, a DC voltage of 5V is derived to supply the 1-WIRE bus systems. The electronics of the ELB-KW converter are housed in a WAGO enclosure with CAGE CLAMP type terminal blocks. The casing is adapted for mounting on a TS-35 / DIN35 rail.

    Features:
    • Conversion of the 1-WIRE bus to RS-232 based on circuits from Maxim.
    • Can be connected to both a PC and PLC.
    • Power supply: 24 VDC.
    • 5 VDC power supply for 1-WIRE bus systems.
    • RS-232 interface connection via WAGO terminal block.
    • 1-WIRE interface connection via WAGO terminal block.
    • Power supply connection via WAGO terminal block.
    • Signalling the power supply to the converter by means of an LED.
    • Housing: PA 6.6, colour grey.
    • Degree of protection: IP20.
    • Mounting of converter on DIN rail
    • Housing dimensions: (H;W;G) 17.5mm; 55mm; 90mm.
    • Free software and examples from Maxim.

If you purchase the converter, we also give you a sample program written in the Codesys v2.3 environment for Wago controllers, supporting ELB-TP temperature sensors.
At the link below you can see a short movie illustrating the concept of operation.

In the first example there should probably be GND ( or 0V) at the blue wire connected to the RS, not -24V.... ?

Yes, the -24V designation is the circuit ground, the same as 0V for the 1-WIRE bus
