    Hello.
I am at the stage of building a bungalow. I am moving on to the installation stage in the near future. I would like to equip the building with an installation that would later allow me to automate the building. I haven't yet chosen the system I'll want to use, but with things the way they are, it's a sin not to lay cables. And here are my questions:
    1. Can I use 8x0.5 wire instead of twisted pair - from the switchboard to the contact? Is it possible to dispense with twisted pair cable altogether in favour of such a cable?
    2. For the alarm system detectors (motion, dusk, humidity etc.) 4x0.5 or 6x0.5 cable
    3. Which ID system should I choose? I would like it to be wired and easy to program and create functions, like fibaro?

    Price-wise, nothing beats twisted-pair.

You can use twisted pair cable, you can use YTKSY N x 0,5, YR 8x0,8 (I don't know if it is available in Poland, very nice cable for automation, intercoms, etc)
If possible, for automation, make a separate switchboard/cabinet where you bring all the wires.

Telecommunication cables are the ones I suggested, for example. YTKSY or YR. Twisted-pair cable is inexpensive, but it's not suitable for alarm systems. Too many problems with it.
If you wanted to do a computer network for yourself, use Category 6 twisted pair. Category 5 is too weak, and you won't use 7.

It's impossible to make too many suggestions here, it all depends on your wallet resources, and there are quite a few manufacturers and systems....

Do double the telephone, aerial or LAN sockets, or at least double the cable.... it's useful to have such a spare.

But can I completely replace the twisted pair with a ytksy cable between the distributor and the contact? Looking through allegro you can easily buy ytksy cable for 1 zł per meter and for a good twisted pair you need to give 2.2 zł. I know that I have to use a twisted-pair cable for the lan network, but how about automation?

For twisted pair cable for automation, ordinary UTP cat 5e you will pay 0.3zł. If it seems to you that 300m is not much, it only seems so. I laid 3 rolls of 300m in a 200m house.

As for the IT network, my advice to everyone is to do conduits, and pull tubes. See, in the last 20 years, no cable technology has lasted longer than 10 years!!!
What ever you put in it will still be bad, in a while.

I carry out electrical installations professionally.
For data communications, i.e.: coaxial cables, LAN cables or intercom cables, I lay them in tubes.
A 20mm tube for 1 cable. If the section is not long and there are few bends, it is possible to change the cable up to a few metres. If the section is long, with a few bends (even gentle ones), it is virtually impossible to replace the cable....
The tube is necessary, it is additional insulation for the cable so that it does not come into direct contact with the plaster...

Ordinary UTP can be, ytksy will also be good.

I have this question, what cable to use for the furnace automation and sensors. Twisted pair cat 6 or ytksy 7*2*0.5 cable is sufficient?
