    Welcome,

There are several systems based on Z-wave. Have any of you had experience with Vera Edge and Fibaro at the same time? Which of these systems is better?

I have seen the Fibaro interface. On the other hand, I don't know anything about Vera. Is this interface sufficient for simple home automation?

I am interested in the differences between these control panels and info from the specs which system is better? Because the principle of Z-wave is probably the same. I have heard negative opinions about Fibaro, that it hangs, is unstable, disconnects in certain situations, etc. How is it with Vera?

If the topic is still on, I'd be happy to comment on fibaro. Surely any other system is better, I was at a 'training' for installers, organised by STRATON, which was mainly based on pitching product adverts, available on YouTube, most of the wonderful features still in beta of course. At the end, as it turned out the biggest specialist in the company, had a problem with adding an RGB controller to an existing system, the addition consists of pressing, in rapid succession, a button on this controller, after 20minutes he relented and announced that he would send the rest of the materials necessary to work with the fibaro system by email. i asked 3 times for these materials - no answer...the most important thing is that I have a certificate!!! do not recommend

i can already tell you a little about the vera system. I bought the vera edge control unit in February. The downside - no Polish language version.

Pros - cool and fast operation. You can control functions without being connected to the local network. You can even do this over 3g, 4g, lte etc while away from home.

At the moment I have a MiLight Wifi controller + Led RGBW controller connected for testing, which I control via an additional plugin. Everything is working nicely and so far 0 errors since installation.

In the near future, I want to test the thermostats and the multisensor with motion sensor.

Hello, I have a question for enforces. Have you played around with thermostats? I'm particularly interested in whether you've managed to create a so-called virtual thermostat, and have you found a working app for your phone? With me it works out quite poorly. Everything works but the thermostat does not. I have tried with various apps for the very edge. Please reply.

Bolszoy26 - I use thermostats probably made by Eurotronic. They work flawlessly, although the batteries run out quickly. They need replacing at least once a year. I have not tested the virtual thermostats.

The Vera app works perfectly for me. After some update there, the thermostat control in android works.

Yes, I understand. It's just that the company /the gentleman who spoke to me on the phone/ claimed that on the basis of ds18b20 sensors used in relays, or other temperature sensors, it is possible to create a /virtual/ thermostat without buying any physically. This would suit me very well, as the client is concerned about hanging as little as possible on the wall....
It's supposedly based on an application in Vera.
I hope I have written with understanding, and thank you for your reply.

install an additional plugin, e.g. Auto Virtual Thermostat or Smart Virtual Thermostat, and link it to any scene there. It should be visible in the app. I haven't tested it, but I assume it will work.

i have checked the virtual thermostat, but I will check those too. I suspect that not all plugins want to work onUI7

I have described here http://pepershots.com/?p=55 my experience with Fibaro - I do not recommend it, especially in the version with the Home Kit, I know from experience that it works better with vawe

I operate on VeraEdge. I also read your description. Anyway, I haven't found a virtual thermostat that works as expected. Apparently there are no problems with applications on UI5. But I don't know that for sure.
I think I will be forced to install two thermostats. (I have two circuits to drive).
    VeraEdge works with vawe.

I would advise against fibaro because of the problems with the control configuration on apple devices. The technical support informs us quite clearly that if we have IOS they will not help us and advise us to reset the device. I recommend instead wago or satel solutions and relay modules. Definitely a more stable system.
