ESP8266 with FT232RL - Write Flash Timeout error when flashing the NodeMCU

I have a problem with flashing the ESP8266. I am using FTDI on ft232rl.
ESP8266 FTDI
TX RX
RX TX
CH_PD and VCC connected to external 3.3V (850mA power supply).
Ground shorted.
GPIO0 connected to ground during upload. NodeMCU firmware.
Result: Error:Write flash timeout.

Has anyone had this problem?

shows that I am to connect tx to tx and rx to rx. On other pages it's the other way around. What is it like in the end?

Hello, I'm also using these modules and it's strange with the memories, i.e. one of the module's FLASH memories "crashed" after a few hundred software upload cycles (I've been writing various scripts and generally speaking "playing with this little box") - at some point during one of there flashing the module went completely mad, it started throwing errors, resetting itself, and it went away only after soldering clean flash ... now I have the effect that the program works, but I can't upload anything new, ESPlorer says the module is busy (BUSY when I try to enter anything into the module) neither reset nor format helps nor uploading new firmware - so something strange happens with these modules. Has anyone had a similar effect ?

@rafik73 is it original FTDI? I had the same problem with a module bought in China. I used CH340G and the problem disappeared. I connect

RX <-> TX
TX <-> RX

@Adrian1978 and what is the currently uploaded program doing? Maybe it is taking up all available resources. You could try another tool to upload something to it.
