    Hello,
i would like to start my adventure with smart flats and houses. To start with, I was thinking of trying to rewire some simple things in the room e.g. turning on lights, automatically rolling up blinds. Some relatively simple things.
Here is a question and a huge request to more experienced people - how to go about this practically from scratch.
What to buy, maybe which literature to use, which side to approach this from, all hints very much appreciated.
    Best regards

@celtas6655 there are actually quite a few posts on a similar topic, that is from scratch. Have a look through them. I myself have discussed similar topics many times here.
A question like yours can be asked by anyone.
Without detail this post is just another 'arse turn'. What is your state of knowledge? What have you already done? what experience do you have in this topic? do you prefer PLCs, microcontrollers or dedicated solutions for this? If you don't know the answers to these questions then you better get reading.

I realise that my post may be a 'turnoff' however, I think a lot of people besides me may be looking for a post like this that is completely from scratch.
I have not dealt completely with such things until now, and have no idea what drivers are more or less suitable for such things. However, I was thinking of taking up microcontroller work. In terms of reading, which books can be recommended to such a layman who has not dealt with such things?

I've looked through some youtube videos and read a few topics.
I was thinking about microcontrollers, but now I'm considering PLCs, due to the fact that they are theoretically easier to program, easier to develop and have a lower price, which is what I care about at this stage.
Is there any kit worth recommending and buying for just starting out? Also, I think I will gain more knowledge from books than youtube videos, so I would ask for some recommendations here too.
    Greetings

These pluses you write about in the context of PLCs are they applicable to which PLCs specifically?

I don't remember exactly anymore, but rather there was a general discussion about the pros and cons of PLC and uC.
