What is the practical range of the X10 or other systems sending control data over the power grid? I understand that no one is going to give me an indication of what it will be like at my place, but I could use some general guidance so that I know whether it's worth getting down to some practical testing. In a new-build block of flats, is this coverage a matter of the circuit in the flat (what's on one fuse), the whole flat, the floor, the stairwell, the whole block or rather the estate?
