    Hello!
I've been planning a house renovation for a while now, and I want to do new installations (Ethernet on category 7A cable, HDMI, alarm system, light control via the internet...). I'm already making preliminary measurements for the Ethernet and HDMI installations, but I have not yet purchased the cables. I have a few questions about these installations:

    1) Intelligent light control - I was thinking of creating a dozen or so modules with relays, each controlling one light circuit, each module would be connected to a YTKSY cable with a few wires, they would converge to some kind of controller, mounted in a rack, based on some Arduino with ethernet? Is there any point in doing this myself at all? Are there any ready-made systems of this type? If so, for how much?

2 - Which IP cameras and which DVR? I'm keen on HD cameras, preferably FullHD, I haven't had much experience with such cameras, so please make suggestions. What kind of cable should I choose? Is it enough to use standard UTP 5E cable? The longest length of cable to the camera would be about 25m.

    3) Alarm system - I already have an alarm system at home, an old one from 1998 with ordinary motion detectors, I will want to upgrade it, is there any point in adding sensors for breaking glass, opening windows, doors?

    4. Ethernet - I've chosen 7A cables, I want them to be 'top of the line' for longer and be ready even for 100Gbps. Initially I wanted to make Ethernet and HDMI sockets in Keystone standard, but in Poland Mosaic is much more popular, what to choose?

    Buy white...

What question such an answer. Start by stating your budget and at least the number of cameras!

Taking this control panel in hand I would teach it to fly. But it's your decision how you value your own safety....

Re 3 I invite my colleague to the stationary security section and there in many topics these issues are addressed there are many answers to the question asked in one sentence: There is a point and it is worth doing it the question is how to do it right....

DVR alone is 2k, plus a reasonable camera about 500/piece. Net prices, so as you can see in the assumed budget - rather unrealistic.
